WRONG, WRONG WRONG and if you think you are right you are deceiving yourself. THOU shall not kill is very clear, killing is taking a life, you can NOT tell me any different...

They acted in obedience to God. God has the right to rid the world of evil and wickedness.

They did not choose to kill anyone from evil motives proceeding out from their own heart.

There is a difference.

The point of the matter is "THEY", I do not believe God needs any help ridding the world of evil, nor does he contradicts himself either.

To me killing is an evil with a motive.

God mostly works through people.

Jesus didn't have to come to earth and die on a cross for us either.

God could have just wiped us all away and been done with this mess. But, He didn't.

Who was Jesus talking too when he said: "And he said to them, "I tell you the truth, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God come with power." [MARK 9.1]

Jesus was talking to them, they did not die, they were standing there alive on the day of Pentecost and they saw with their own eyes believers, including themselves, being filled with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the power of the kingdom of God. They saw the "kingdom of God."

Children and new borns are wicked and evil????? Sad to be you.

God saw the end at the beginning.

God is just and fair. Just because we don't understand everything that God did or does, does not make Him any less God.

Blessings

Your god(according to your bible) killed innocent children and your good with that? very, very sad to be you.

I'm saying I'm not God and I clearly don't understand everything He ever did or will do, and of that, I'm sure.

The only thing that makes sense in my own mind is that since I know He knew the end at the beginning, He knew what He was doing.

I also believe that He is loving and just, fair.

Blessings

Re: I know the bible well - ask me a question that you have never understood about it or christianityQuote

there are a number of versions of answeres about that

one, there are and always were at least two immortal holy men who were alive to bear witness to what happens here.

there is a version that its the church but that is not how i read it, i read it like i said above

Would you mind showing me that in God's Word?

Thank you.

I would be interested in seeing that in Scripture as well.

I infer that from several things so take this as is:

in levitical law its always 2 or more wintesses to witness to something

I suspect that they were with christ or around him when he here, and then later they continued as witnesses and perhaps the same two are here and are the witnesses mentioned in revelation

God gave Moses restrictions on the Sabbath not other days, and although I agree with you that everyday we should live righteously God specifies that the Sabbath is Holy and a COMMANDMENT has gone forth respecting this day.

Can you please give me your opinion as to why Christians and Church leaders transgress this COMMANDMENT?

Thanks again for your time.

hf

lol, good try

here you go

Col 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath [days

Where do I go?

Are you saying that God's COMMANDMENTS have been abolished?

What DEVIL abolished God's commandment?

Is it SATAN?

Are you saying that Church leaders are following SATAN?

Please respond now I'm frightened!!!

OMG the Op has forsaken his thread leaving us hanging that Christians are worshipping SATAN, the Op is enlightened and must be under heavy demonic attacks exposing this thruth.

God bless you Op for taking the necessary risk in bringing this truth to the surface, you are truly an instrument of GOD

Re: I know the bible well - ask me a question that you have never understood about it or christianityQuote

.. I see your good heart, I know you're born again. I encourage you to go deeper. If your heart is to teach, pray to be sealed with the mind of Christ. Please read the following answer to the question I asked of you earlier..

The Bible is a spiritual book that underlies it's literal rendering. It is a spiritual book written by a Spirit God and can only be wholly understood by those who are sealed with the mind of Christ.
If I say "the fig that fails to ripen shall surely fall in the winter winds of tribulation", I mean "in the last days, those who have not matured, learning to discern between good and evil, will be deceived. When tribulation comes, they fall away from Jesus..as a hard fig breaks away from a branch in the winter wind.
Can you understand that Naomi, Orphah, and Ruth is the same as sand, sea, and stars is the same as Passover, Pentecost and Tabernacles is the same as outer court, inner court, and Holy of Holies and so on.
All of scripture literally happened, but the stories are to be understood as parables and symbolic representations . This is a primary Pauline teaching. Meditate on scripture, and with each new understanding you will be transformed on a path to unity with God.
The seed of eternal life within you. It is your human spirit made immortal and linked to God by The Holy Spirit. Sanctify yourself and focus on the glory that will increase within you whenever the Word is opened to you.

Worthy is the Lamb to open the Book..and He has sent the Spirit of Truth to guide you in all things. We are indeed living stones, shaped, formed and fitted together to be the Temple of God by the quickened Word of God.

...I do not like views that over emphasise the symbolic over the physical representation or part.

As Jesus entered Jerusalem on a donkey, truth comes cloaked in humility. Many who say that they can see, camp out with the revelation they have.
Others are hungry for the food of life that are the deep teachings of scripture. The Lord has prepared for them a table in the midst of their enemies. Perhaps one who has been given the heart of the teacher is to be paired with one who has been given the gift of understanding. Surely such wise men can bring their gifts to the Bethlehems of this present age where Christ is being born in the believers.

Who were the wisemen from Matthew 2:2?

They weren't Christians, but they knew of Christ.

So who were they, and where did they get their information?

From my recollection they are not specified in detail anywhere in the bible.

BINGO !!

The Bible is incomplete......
 Quoting: Sugarelf

Actually if you research Daniel you will find the Magi there as their astrologers is your answer.
Daniel was very close to God and proved the reality of His existence to a pagan culture.
This included prophecies and the knowledge of the future coming of the Messiah.
There is a prophecy called "Daniels 7 Weeks" that pinpoints Jesus' ministry and death.
This one prophecy is what jump started the Church, which was all Jews until the Ethiopian began the "Times of the Gentiles".
What is sad is that the pagan "looking for Jesus, which implies a saving faith" were more in touch with prophecy than the ones He came for. They were trained by Daniel and were witnesses of the miracles during his lifetime.
The OP reminds me of the Jews with the weak answer here.

Jesus wasn't speaking about His second coming when He spoke those words.

Luk 9:27 But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God.

-- Who are those individuals (the bride)?

-- Are they still standing here today 2 thousand years later waiting for the kingdom of God to come with power?

OP do you know the answer to this question?

Does anyone know?

Anyone who is not audacious enough to call Jesus a LIAR..

Christ was referring to Peter, James, And John; His inner circle who accompanied Him to the mountain where He was transfigured. Peter was to later describe this experience as "the coming of The Lord". It is a glimpse of the Shikana glory of God overshadowing and manifesting in the last day believers of deep consecration.

I don't agree. Because the verse states that some of them standing there, right then, would not taste of death.

Jesus wasn't speaking about His second coming when He spoke those words.

Mat 16:28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

Luk 9:27 But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God.

Luk 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

It happened the day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit began indwelling believers.

What does this mean? Can you explain your reply rationally, please?

What you have said could be translated that the kingdom of GOD is here already. I hope you are not delusional enough to believe that what we are experiencing through-out the world is of the KINGDOM.

Who are you that we should jump through your hoops and throw our pearls to a dog like you? The mysteries of the kingdom of heaven are not for you.

The kingdom of GOD is ushered in by the Son of Man, therewith, when Jesus said; "there are some who will not taste death before they see the kingdom of GOD come with Power" is that some would witness the Son of Man.

-- How will we know when the Son of Man arrives?

Matthew.25:[31]"When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit upon his glorious throne, [32] and all the nations will be assembled before him.

Obviously this hasn't occurred, yet!

-- So who was Jesus talking too?

Who are those who will not taste of death before they see the kingdom of GOD (son of man) come with Power?

Who did Jesus say this too that they were going to see the Son of Man before they finished running out of time (life)?

What? What the fawk are you even talking about?

If you don't know the answer, it could only mean that you don't understand the scriptures and are not the enlightened one. Don't fret, there will come one who is, and when he does, don't do like the Romans did and crucify him, learn from the past, lest you repeat it over again.
