Ok, folks, since I have been out and sick for the past few days with a cold. I was hoping to find out if there is anybody out there who thinks they have the best home Made Chicken Noodle soup recipe.
I'm looking for something unique in the recipe itself, and it must have flavor, flavor, flavor! But also it must work to help relieve a person's cold,or flu or sinus symptoms.
Ok, ready, set, post! hawkflyer1966@yahoomessenger. |

I start with cut up chicken breast (already cooked), chicken broth, 1/2 cup of chopped (fine) celery, a can or two of mixed veggies, a little Mrs. Dash for flavor (low sodium, I don't use salt), pepper and a pinch of garlic powder, chopped (small) onion. Crock pot for most of the day, boil noodles separately and add just before serving, so the noodles don't get soggy. I use the small egg noodles. My soup is great! I think it's the crockpot that does it, because it cooks all day. It will help clear your sinuses, and you don't need anything real spicey (which isn't good for sinus anyway). Enjoy! |

It's a real cooking CD,but they put all recipes they get in it,even from kids.I was looking for a real one and found those funny ones
Few more then I'll quit
One scoop water, 3 chickens and 5 celerys. Cook for 7 minutes on top of the oven. Put 7 crackers in it and bake it for 8 minutes at 7 degrees then eat it.
-------------------------------------------------------
Thirteen noodles, 2 or 5 plain meats, 10 lb. juice. Cook everything for 5 minutes or 10 minutes at 8 degrees. Then eat after it cools off. You can blow on it. Sometimes if I don't feel very good my Mom just gives me a little. It tastes fine.
----------------------------------------------------------
Put 2 cups of water in the soup. Use a round pan. Stir it for awhile. Then mama has to eat some to see if it's done. Pour it in a bowl and eat it with a spoon. Sometimes crackers are good in it. Remove the chicken from the broth. Strain, discarding vegetables and reserving stock. Pull the chicken meat off the bones. Shred and reserve meat.
Melt butter in a stockpot. Add mushrooms and cook until browned. Add diced onions, carrots, celery and garlic. Cook until the vegetables are softened. Stir in cooked chicken. Add chicken stock and bring to a boil over high heat.
Season the soup with salt and pepper. Add noodles and simmer until noodles are cooked through, 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from the heat and stir in parsley. |

United States 9/20/2009 8:47 AM | | Re: Post your very best Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup recipes here. | Quote | Ok, I will give out my recipe for my home made chicken noodle soup, but be warned, this is so good, you will get hooked!
1 lg stockpot
1 5 pound chicken
4 stalk celery, washed and chopped
1 lg onion, diced
4 whole cloves
1 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
5 lg carrots washed and peeled, and diced or quartered
3 sprigs fresh dill weed
3 sprigs fresh thyme, Bruise it first to release the oils
3 sprigs fresh rosemary, bruise this, too
2 cloves fresh minced garlic
2 bay leaves,whole
1 16 0z bag of egg noodles
6 qts of water
salt and pepper to taste
a pc of cheesecloth, kitchen string.
First wash your chicken thoroughly, all over. Place it in the pot.
Add all your veggies, and garlic and cayenne pepper. Then in a pc of cheesecloth, place your herbs, the bay leaves, and the whole cloves, tie up the bundle with kitchen string and set it inside the pot. Pour in 6 qts of water, add your salt and pepper to taste, turn it to a boil, then skim off the foam that rises when it starts to boil. Turn the heat down to medium high let it cook down to half of the original liquid. Reason for this, You are concentrating the flavors!
Ok, take the whole chicken out and place in in a lg bowl or a plate where it can cool off. Turn off your heat and let the broth cool down some. Skim off as much fat as you can while the chicken is cooling. Remove the the bouquet garni, and throw that away. It has done it's job. Add back more water to the pot at least half of what you started with;note: you need enough to make soup, not a stew and then set to work, stripping as much meat as you can off the entire chicken.Do not throw away the dark meat,go over the entire carcass, and use as much as you can get off. Tear the meat into small enough chunks and throw them back into the pot. Turn the heat back on and bring back to a rolling boil. At this point taste the broth and adjust your salt and pepper seasonings. Add the egg noodles and cook for at least 15 mins, turn the heat down to medium and let it settle down. Let it cook until the noodles are done. Turn off the heat, let it set,and taste it again, and adjust your seasonings if needed, and enjoy!
I made this yesterday for myself and some neighbors who helped me fix my toilet because my bathroom got flooded out. She was suffering from sinus problems so,I made her and her husband a big bowl. I told them not to fight over it, either. If they want more they can have it. LOL!
