I lump all atheists, christians, muslims, and any other form of people who claim to know anything about the afterlife or not just opinionated people who actually have no clue. They follow a belief system that has no sound, factual basis to hang it's hat on.

All of you people who hang their hat on religion, or the lack there of need to take a step back and realize that you have no fucking clue. You don't. Period. End of story. Get over it.

I have no clue. I admit it. I reckon when I die I'll know.

Oh, so very nicely stated.
I very much agree.

Don't know if it's a religion, but yea that sounds about right. It was foretold thousands of years ago.
So have I now become your enemy for telling you the TRUTH? Galatians 4:16

What's stunning is the percentage of people in America who are still religious, considering if those states are true...

14,300,000 to 29,400,000 in the US... 2,948,888 to 3,706,555 in Australia.

Australia is steps ahead... Levels ahead above the US

Re: Atheism the the fastest growing 'religion' in America.
The world will continue to spiral into chaos and death until we dispose of our need to harbour fantasy delusions and beliefs about the way things are instead of actually trying to see things and understand things as they are. How can anyone with any sense and intelligence take what someone says as truth and live their whole life based off it? Beliefs are nothing more then blinders and filters that block out anything you don't want to see, they filter your perception and by doing so they filter your reality.

Beliefs are a security blanket for those people who are too stupid to understand, too lazy or simply don't care about the universe and everything within it. Why spend your life searching and learning when you can pick up a book and let it tell you how everything is, with no proof, no evidence and no guarantee of anything inside it being true.

The reason people with beliefs get so angry is because deep down they know it's all bullshit, however how do you face up to that truth when you've lived your whole life by a lie?

Some of us have no beliefs, believing in something requires you to suspend your logic and senses and thinking ability in order to believe whatever it is you believe in. Beliefs are also hard to prove or disprove, and this vague nature of them is exactly the problem. How many people were killed simply because of their beliefs? How many conflicts arose simply because of beliefs?

People need to start realizing that there is no GOD as humans imagine, no white guy with a white beard sitting above the clouds watching you masturbate. Even if there was a god, why would it even matter? Look around you, does the world you live in seem like there is a god watching over us?

It's time people stopped "believing" and started seeing and learning and actively trying to change the way we are heading and the world because no one else is going to do it for you while you sit and think to yourself aka praying.

we do not have to believe in God but his laws are across this world...so he promised that those who ignored his laws would be destroyed....well civil and criminal court judgements have destoyed the people who were violating the laws, yes it proved to be a pretty dumb move on thier part, especially after they fully calculate the loses in thier life, from thier free will, to do as they damm well pleased, even to go break civil and criminal laws ...

Re: Atheism the the fastest growing 'religion' in America.
The concept of Satan requires a theism, it is pointless discussing Satan with atheists, because they know him only to be a superstitious mental construct.

The countries in which Christians are murdered for their faith have their own competing gods and theism, that they wish to be dominant.

It is easy to foretell, because human affairs repeat in cycles, so long term observation is all that is required to make general predictions about what will probably re-occur. The language of prognostication is vague and interpretable, and usually only know to apply after the fact, like fair ground gypsy fortune telling.

Thus you will have to do better if you wish to prove anything.

Atheists have genocidally killed 1/4 to 1/3 BILLION persons during the only 100 years they have been players on the world scene... IE the LAST 100 years!
The 100 years MOST easily researched... and you write THIS garbage??

Between 1991 and 2001, the non-religious segment of the United States grew from 14,300,000 to 29,400,000. In terms of absolute growth, that is the fastest in the United States.

The same is true in Australia. In 15 years, from 1991 to 2006, the number of self-identified non-religious in Australia grew from 2,948,888 to 3,706,555.

Given that it is the largest rate of growth in two major superpowers, one of which is arguably the most religious superpower, I think this shows a trend of the first world nations giving up the mythical religions of the past. Of course there will always be clingers, but as each new generation comes along I believe we'll see an increase in the number of atheists.

If this is true, it was predicted in the Bible. "In the end many will fall away from God".

Now, seeing it has predicted nearly everything happening today, wouldn't it be a wise idea to study something so prophetic? I would say so. Those who drift, have a predicted fate too. Go read it yourself.

I have read it, and quite thoroughly at that. You're referring to Matthew 24. Matthew 24:34 says that those events foretold in Matthew 24 would have happened before the end of the generation. That generation ended about 1900 years ago. What happened?
 Quoting: DSP

I would like to give you the benefit of the doubt and say you are mistaken... but if you have read Mat: 24 THOROUGHLY I would have to say you are purposefully lying about the generation ending 1900 years ago. Jesus catagorically does not indicate that in Matthew 24.

UUHHHH... how do you know others "don't have a clue"?
How do you know that YOUR BELIEF, that others claim to know anything about the afterlife is merely an opinion.

Perhaps YOU don't have a clue for reasons you other than what you believe.

I do not know about the wrath of God, but I am certain that you are correct. In the near future people will very likely be prosecuted in British courts for atheism. In a very few years it will be legal to refuse to employ or do business with atheists in several countries of Europe. It may well become this way in the US too, because no one is guarding the constitution anymore.
