Quoting: Anonymous Coward 763033First of all, Global Warming doesn't mean that there won't be cold weather on a few days out of the year in a few locations. What it means is that when you look at the average global temperature each year there's an increase. A voice of reason in a world of woo-woos. |
Evil Twin 09/21/2009 12:05 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It's not really out of the ordinary. I remember getting snow on Labor Day weekend in the mountains more than once. Quoting: Lady Lara CroftI've skied fresh snow @ "A Basin" on the 4th of July . . . I've skied A-Basin on 4th of July too, but it wasn't fresh snow. I used to camp there on "the beach" every 4th. |

Circuit Breaker User ID: 766491 United States 09/21/2009 12:06 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I know that today is September 21st, and that I live in 'snow country' but usually our first major snowstorm of each year is around Halloween(late October timeframe generally) but today we are getting dumped on and it's a full whiteout! So is anyone else getting snow, or other wacky weather where they are today??? Quoting: CO SKY WATCHER 708647I'm in Colorado Springs. No snow. Just wind, rain and thunder. A little on the cool side at 43 degrees. A voice of reason in a world of woo-woos. |

CO SKY WATCHER (OP) User ID: 708647 United States 09/21/2009 01:49 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The weather folks say we are going to have a 'La Nina' this season. But it looks like so far the storms are early. I can't remember a wetter, cloudier and colder fall here in a long while. Usually our fall in Summit County is very dry and have plentiful blue skies until October. But it rained off and on all weekend during Oktoberfest! Well the Pacific looks active to me... [link to weather.unisys.com] I think the skiing will be good this year, so you all should head up this year to A-Basin, Copper etc and grab some freshies, soon! :5: |
