Do you have a military base nearby?

We have Blackhawks, Cobras, Apaches, and Chinooks flying over almost daily here. Its really not that weird.
Granted, I can concern if it was doing something fishy maybe hovering in a residential area though.

I've seen the same helicopter over Jackson Michigan. These are military transports. Why would they be flying here????

I see them all the time too. I think Granholm and our other "elected" officials use them like their own personal transport flying in and out of Selfridge.

Just a theory though, but I too see them every now and again flying back and forth.

Because there is obviously a military BASE somewhere in your area.

the last time I saw these kinds of helicopters around here like that was right after 9/11...

we had one of those copters bring Santa to our local mall (here in Mi) last year.

not connected to your sighting, but perhaps they use these things more often than we would think.

Selfridge is on the east side near Mt.Clemens

just made me a little nervous, it was so low...I am about 7 miles from the city of Lansing...maybe it was the Governor...

Saw a Coast Guard helecopter yesterday, fighter jets a month ago and a C130 last week. I drive a lot for work and see this stuff all the time. Turns out its easier to get a flying machine thingy from one point to another by air. I think they tried getting the C130 down the Mass Pike once with great difficulty. In fact I think they ended up just leaving at the side of the road.

I live in Kalamazoo, not far from Ft. Custer. Didn't see any helicopters. Lansing is closer to the other side of the state where Op saw the chopper.

We do have planes that search for marijuana crops and these are usually smaller planes, not helicopters that do these sweeps. Usually we only see hospital choppers.

that's what I am wondering... we have a few of the hospital helicopters here in Lansing, see them quite a bit...but not this one...

Man, try being in da Burgh right now.

Told Chawlee on another thread, haven't been able to sleep for shit. Constant helicopters hovering around the city and surrounding areas... and I mean constant.

It's unsettling.

Hey Ref is State playing at home Sat.? I know UofM Stadium is under HEIGHTENED security for this Sat game. No bags of any type brought in including purses etc.. If State is at home may have something to do with that. It also could have been a Reserve or Guard chopper they have active exercises all summer into the fall and yes you are close to Fort Custer.
