Very good - now email the Priest and ask him if he charismated me or not.
His name is Father Kurt.
What it amounts to is you can't admit the fact that you were not even aware that Eastern Catholic Churches even existed which, had you read your catechism, you would have been.
Thus, I doubt that you are Catholic, since you judged that I was not. [link to theoferrum.blogspot.com]

The "church" is the collective of believers in Jesus Christ,
not the Roman Catholic Church. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 768019
No, it is the collective of believers who have been baptised into the Lord Y'shua Messiah.
I personally don't recognize protestant baptism because they severed themselves from apostalic authority.
They - by their own admission - fall under the Abrahamic Covenant (renewed) not the New Covenant.
Reference is George Peters Theocratic Kingdom.

And I take it you have this on good authority - that Y'hova is gonna nuke Rome and not, lets say, a fanatical terrorist group like the CIA?
Revelation 18 predicts Rome's destruction..
Father Malachi Martin..also predicts Rome's destruction....
Most Romans don't know about its pending destruction...and the ones who do know have been told by a foul spirit that its because they are the one true church... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 773680
No, Revelation 18 predicts the destruction of Babylon - that's located in the wilderness in the planes of Shinar, that is not Rome.
I think you have Malachi Martin confused with the Malachy prohecies.
And, actually, every Catholic I have talked to is aware of the Malachy prophecy which tells me you don't talk to Catholics much which means you don't know what we believe. [link to theoferrum.blogspot.com]

Cephas is the Rock upon which Y'shua built his church.
Because Catholics say so, and most certainly because you say so,
does not make it so. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 768019
No, because Y'shua and the Scripture says so. In fact, long before I converted to Catholicism I had already concluded that the protestants position on this can not be maintained. The aramaic simply removes all doubt.
Jesus Christ does not need any man to do what He wants to do. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 768019
"How shall they believe unless one preach and how shall they preach if they are not sent"
The Rock was Peter's Statement of Faith. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 768019
A statement of faith can not be an object.
For any out there with ears to hear and eyes to see:
And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Mat 16:16-18 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 768019
And for over 1500 years not one living saint from the church doubted that Peter was the Rock on which Y'shua built his church until Rosicrucian Luther suggested otherwise. [link to theoferrum.blogspot.com]

No - an organization that was created by Y'shua.
I am committed to Jesus Christ. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 768019
That remains to be seen.

I study the Bible and listen to a few good teachers on the radio. I like John MacArthur and Chuck Swindoll. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 768019
Oh, a Dallas Fan. You know, they believe the George Peters wrote the classic on the premill faith called the Theocratic Kingdom - did you know that? Well, in that book he, along with all the "Kingdom Theologians" decided that the church today does not live under any New Covenant, but under the Abrahamic Covenant renewed. Did you know that? In other words, the Protestant churches, when they walked away from the Catholic Church, walked away from the New Covenant and they will be judged by the Abrahamic Covenant. That should give you something to think about.
I went to Israel once with Chuck Missler. It was awesome.

One of your comments I wanted to address.
You said that the apostles laid their hands on men who did the same down the line through the popes to this day.
If this is God chosen, why did the emperor Constantine play such a key role in removing John the Faster as "Universal Bishop" and conferring it upon Boniface III of Rome in 600 A.D. thus beginning the rule of the roman catholic church. Seems to me like a political even governmental move, by a ruler of a nation, not God. |

Not the Catholic Churches.
Here is some interesting reading on this point and others which, if I ever finish it, I plan on sending into a group that is connected to the Vatican and hears the comments and questions of the Churches laity. In the article at that link, it references a recent study that shows that the protestant churches are, literally, dying cause the memebers are "losing their faith" at alarming rates and that is because they don't have the Real Presense in the Eucharist to offer the memebers nor do most of them have the Real Presense in the Return to offer their congregations.

Actually your, and most peoples, chronologies concerning the events in question are wrong. Y'shua ate a Galilean Peace Meal (also called a Passover Meal by the Jews of the time) in which he instituted the Lord's Supper on Wednesday night (the Galilean's celebrated the Passover on the night of the 13th/14th of Nisan due to their interpretation of the passage involved or one day before the Jews), he was arrested early thursday morning, crucified around nine am died around 6pm thursday afternoon precisely at the time that the Galilean Lambs were being sacrificed where the Jews would sacrifice theirs the next morning (hence it was a 'sabbath' as all the accounts make clear) and thus he spent part of thursday night, all day friday, all day saturday, and part of sunday morning in the tomb - three days and three nights.
Catholics didn't teach you this. I doubt any man did.
You studied yourself. But who approves of what? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 768019
You are 100% correct - that is the result of a personal study of the four Gospel's and specifically the differences between them which I reconciled. There are no contradictions in the word, only in some people's understanding of the word.
As far as who approves of what - I doubt that this particular study would ever be proposed to the magisterium of the church so each person can decide for themselves.
It, however, explains all the so-called contradictions. [link to theoferrum.blogspot.com]

We recite this Creed every Sunday before Mass :
The Nicene Creed
We believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made, one in Being with the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation
he came down from heaven:
by the power of the Holy Spirit
he was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate,
he suffered, died, and was buried.
On the third day he rose again
in fulfillment of the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified.
He has spoken through the Prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead
and the life of the world to come.
Amen. [link to theoferrum.blogspot.com]

Open wounds weep (blood and extracellular fluids) after death.
Washing the body would not prevent this.
Given the wounds on the body of Christ, even with the body prepped for burial (washing and oil) one would expect weeping (blood and fluid) from the wounds to be evident on the Shroud. |

Dr. Barbet has proven that the blood on the Shroud is actually blood clots - not just blood that flowed after a washing.
The point is that Dr. Zugibee risked his professional reputation by making two very absurd statements - both of which have been proven false subsequently - and this leads the observant student to ask why Dr. Zugibee wanted everyone to think that the body of Y'shua had been washed before it was wrapped in the Shroud.

 | | Re: I just converted to Catholicism - Ask me a Question! | Quote | Anyways, I might as well take the opportunity to summarize my conversion process just for the record.
I decided to go back to church and picked the Catholic Church cause they help out the homeless more then all the other denominations combined and I looked up Catholic Churches in the Phone book and saw the Byzantine Catholic Church in ABQ and went and asked him how I could become a memeber and he said I would have to believe the same as the Catholics especially concerning the Real Presense in the Eucharist.
Thus began my quest for the Holy Grail.
Turns out that Ignatius, Ireneus and Tertullian (and many others) all believed and taught this doctrine which the entire Church believed uncontestedly for 1200 years without exception until Wycliffe. The Significance is that two of the three knew the Apostle John personally and if they had been in error, John as a Priest would have corrected their Theology. This means the Doctrine is Apostalic in nature. [link to theoferrum.blogspot.com]

Of course the blood on the Shroud is clotted.
Blood clots.
The extracellular fluid mix slows the clotting time after death, but none the less, it will continue to clot.
Either way washed or not, the wounds would continue to weep fluid after death. Any blood present (which it obviously was) would form clots. |

Hmm. And who called the council of Nicea?
Emperor Constantine called 318 bishops and the developed the creed through the process of compromise in 325 A.D. Funny the leader of a earthly nation, not the leader of the church, or churches called such a meeting, and it was supposedly of God. The creed was written to address three major controversies during that time.
1. The Arian contraversy, which had to do with the doctrine of the Trinity, especially the relationship of the Father and the Son; 2. The Appolinarian Controversy, with reference to the nature of Christ; 3. The Pelagian Controversy over questions relating to sin and salvation.
Funny if this creed was God born, why was it born of a council gathered together by a man with a political agenda and why was it used to address controversies between bishops, who according to you are inspired by God by the laying on of hands? |
