Sorry but the only way I can describe when and how I respect a man is he must be well dressed, clean nails and a polite calm attitude, then he will gain my respect.
Much like a very profession white collar man will seem to be.
These kind of men usually look, dress and act like they care for themselves.

Now, Give me the usual run of the mill kind of male that I see day to day, I rarely respect them but, I am never outright rude. For some reason they tend to be beer bellied if white or Hispanic with dirty nails or, if black flashing bling or have more money invested in their cars than in their dental work and skin care and they usually are found destroying their hearing playing bass bump music. Shows these types of men have little smarts and do not care for their bodies.

A person needs to show they really care for themselves before I give any real deep honest respect to them.
