let me add, from what i've seen respect is abundant still amoung the male population to both their male counter parts and female. But from the media i have noticed that women are more and more being portrayed as having no respect for themselves or others in general and i want to see if it has filtered down.

What if a women does not watch TV and she still disses men based on their general behavior. Respect is something earned and not given across the board just becuz Lois respects Peter. How dumb do you think women are?

we all know the influence media has. it's blatent and clear.

so, you beleive its is earned. does that mean you do not in general respect men unless they give you good reason?
