However, can tell you this that Joe Walsh and the Eagles
rocked and so did the Beach Boys, after those two acts Elton John bombed out with new songs from his new album that people did not know. The stadium (70,000 people I think) had been rocking all day, many were high smoking or worse for wear for drink or sun. Some were just beaten by the sun, singing at the tops of their voices, dancing all day and tired by the time Elton came on as he topped the bill.
I remember we left before the end of the show to get out of the stadium ahead of the rush. I remember the day vividly, hot sun, brown legs, hot pants, the man that I loved and surrounded with all his mates.
They were great dancing days, I was blessed to go to many gigs in the UK.
They were the days when one could actually afford to see top bands.
