Quote

Most people probably don't recognize me. Even though I go on ALOT of forums. So many forums infact that in some conspiracy forums people think I'm a "disinformation agent". That "Jim Profit" isn't one person but rather many people designed to survelliance websites, others thing Jim Profit is a group of trolls kind of like 4chan's anonymous only much less organized, much less cause oriented, and more about the trolling.

Neither is true. I'm just a guy who has an increddibly amount of large time on his hands. But I can't help but notice how popular "libertarinism" has become. Now, at first glance libertarinism sounds great. Who doesn't want less taxes and to be able to smoke pot freely?

Unfourtanately this isn't what the libertarian movement is about. The libertarian party would be more accurately called the corporatist party. Because they only care about capitalism and enforcing property rights. They don't care about your freedom. Time and time again I've seen concerned people worry about us losing our liberties and they just ignore it completely. Acting like it isn't a big deal. Well when is it going to be a big deal?

I don't agree with socialism or fascism or populism. But if I geniunely believe someone cares, I'll hear them out. And I'll help them out, not as an ally to some cause, but as a human being. That's something the libertarians, the "neocons", and "progressives" don't understand.. they don't WANT to understand...

I seriously believe the internet is a conditioning tool. It's getting us used to the idea of not having freedom of expression or individuality. Ever noticed how quickly libertarians are quick to point out mods can do whatever they want because it's "their forum"? Why? The internet isn't a THING to be owned. It's a highway, it's a gateway between you and a slew of information. To ban someone is to say they are not entitled to that information or a voice. It's coercion, it's intimidation, it's WRONG!!!

We could just write it off as human nature. That given the chance, all human beings will abuse any power they may or may not have. If someone can, they will silence their opposition. I've seen it at agent provocateur, I've seen it at myspace, I've seen it at fucking gaming and cartoon websites. Most prevelant I see it is 4chan and simaler imageboards. Where if you were familiar with them like I was. You'd know at "page 10" the topic dies anyway. So really there's no point in banning anybody. Because it's just a matter of time before everyone has to moveon anyway. And what's the point of having a delete topic button if banning is always going to be the first defense?

People are expecting submission. They want you to get used to the idea that whatever you're thinking, stop. That you shouldn't say or do anything unless you are ceartain it's within the confines of the status quo. Any dissent you have should be prefabricated and shallow. Kind of like how our political system is. Use the same one dimensional arguments time and time again so that nothing ever changes. Accept your role as "the troglodyte conservative stuck in the past" or "the bleeding heart liberal who's head is in the cloud". There's no third option, there's no rationalizing or getting around these achretypes. I find this especialy ironic at forums like Dungeons&Dragons forums where they like to get on their soapbox and preach shit that's been said over 9000 times. Only for those with a hint of unique dialogue or deduction to be shunned, demeened, and more then likely banned. It's like how in the old days of D&D you couldn't play an elf barbarian. Elves are skinny little panzies and at most you use skirmish longswords or bows, but you're not to be big and burly, that's what dwarves and orcs are for. By fourth edition those stereotypes KIND OF were relinquished, but we still think interms of elves can't be barbarians in our daily lives. Probably moreso then ever before...

Immagine if irl we did that. Where people could just be thrown out of buildings over little shit, banned from places, and employees refuse to give someone service. Someone doesn't like your Ron Paul button so you can't get an order at McDonalds, maybe you should walk your ass to Burger King and get an order. Then everyone looks at you like the troublemaker when you say hell no. You're a human being, and you demanded to be treated with dignity. If you have the money, there is no reason that McDonalds should have the "right" to not take your order. You havn't raped anybody while ordering your food, you didn't stick a rattlesnake in the cash register, they need to act like adults and take your order and stop being pricks.

And that's when security (IE: The mods, the police, the THUGS) come and throw your ass out. Evidently this does goes on irl, just not as much because irl we have things like GUNS and shit where we can comeback and kill everyone in the resturaunt. Then maybe they'd have something to complain about and ban you for...

So instead they social engineer. Use "roleplaying" via the internet to get people used to the idea of taking abuse from authority figures when they have no authority. They're just some sixteen year old boy behind the computer screen claiming to be king of the sandcastle. It might be a pretty looking sandcastle, but so fucking what? That doesn't give you permission to do anything.

But then these are the same sortsof people who think they're entitled to an abortion, to promiscueity, this world is fueled by the innate thinking others have right to hurt others. That inflicting death and pain on other people and other creatures is some God given right. Only they never coin the phrase "God". That would mean they'd actually have to follow some moral code outside of the shit they invented... They instead claim "natural rights" or "natural law".

Notice none of them have pets. No "natural" creature would put up with their shit and go straight for their neck to sink their teeth into them. I'm all for "natural rights". In the natural world property still exists, but it's much less intristic and sortof a "this is my crib, i sleep and fuck here" sortof thing. Animals basicaly leave eachother alone unless they're scared. (Or hungry. But even then most animals would probably prefer an easy meal of grass and berries. That's why most animals are herbivores or ominovres)

You don't see animals just killing their own for the fun of it. Or singling out one of their own kind from the pack because his coat's a little different. I've seen animals that limp and shit follow the pack and not get treated any different. Fucking animals have a better sense of unity and respect then people do!

So everytime I hear the word "personhood" I just want to take a chainsaw and skin some people raw. Or "there's too much division in politics". If you ask me there's not enough. Human beings are incapable of the harmonic balance we see in other animals. The only thing that would happen when humans unite is there would be a more vicious collective that "bans" more people without provocation or reasoning... A more cruel and insane collective and authority head that not only is bigger and more "entitled", but has no competition to make it pull back some punches. War, murder, rape, theft, all the things we define as "evil" are the only good in hummanity. A self balancing mechanism to keep us atleast somewhat tribal. So that we HAVE TOO consider the needs and feelings of our suboordinates. We can't afford to be petty and "ban people" when our very lives depend on them. Tribal warfare makes every person important, and when you're important, you have more rights... Even if you're not really important, people just think of you as important. Like celebrities... or mods.

Seems I remember that name from the 90s and early 2000s.

Your thinking is as clear as one would want, UNLESS your otherwise convinced, and don't need ANY facts to change your mind, small as it might be !

Keep posting Mr. Profit; if there are other things on your mind.

Jim Profit was the lead character in the short-lived Fox drama "Profit" starring Adrian Pasdar. It was an AWESOME show, way ahead of it's time.

The libertarian party is a joke. It has turned into the "pissed off at the republican party" party.

Actually my name has no relation to the show but actually stems from my internet and real life coming to a merge. You see, my older brother used to post on internet forums too as "Shadow Jim" and back then I was more like a sidekick to him. A very angsty very loathed sidekick. But bro always had my back.

Unfourtanately I didn't have his.. You see my brother was prochoice. And as I'm sure you found out in the google searches... I don't like choicers...

I went a long time not knowing this about my brother. And when I foundout. I distanced myself from him. And became my own person, no longer in his "shadow". That's when I nicknamed myself Jim Profit. To be "my own Jim".

And infact I would be the only one. Cause my brother was always into drugs and he had gotten introduced to heroine by friends. And I didn't go to the intervention orchastrated by his girlfriend and other family members. I probably would've had far more influence on him then anyone. But a part of me wanted to see him fall apart, because he was a choicer.

And eventualy he overdosed. As all drug addicts do because it's hard to walk that fine line between a good trip and killing yourself. I take some of the blame in my brother's death.

I know the power of having the choice over another life. It's definitely too much power for any normal simpleton to have. If I can have second thoughts about it then surely noone else should have it. But if I could do it all over again... I'd have done the same fucking thing. My brother died thinking I cared about him and was just blossoming into my own person. When I told him it was his life and his choice to do drugs, he believed me. He deserved atleast the illussion of a loving brother.

Just like children deserve atleast the illussion of a loving mother or people the illussion of a loving spouse. Love is so rare, but that doesn't mean we can't humor ourselves.
