Has anyone around here ever considered there could be a pattern of Eq's that occur around the same time every year as earths gravity is slightly shifted due to Earths axis shift between the two upper most extremes (winter & summer).

The shift basically exposes different parts of the Earth closer to the strongest gravitational influence (sun). Coupled with this, perhaps the switch between the Sun warming the poles of the Earth, may influence the Earth plates indirectly, thus contributing to EQ's during the two periods.

Just some random thoughts, it could a totally floored possibility, but I am keen to here if is/not.

Actually, there is annual siesmic event that happens on the Juan de Fuca. Thats the only recurring event I have heard of.

These earthquakes are manmade. Both of the super volcanoes here and in yellowstone are being targeted to try to get them to blow. Population control is being handled from multiple angles.

sorry i cant understand that one....help me please.

There are many different scenarios to evaluate someone also mentioned the sun spot cycle began again.

Look at the depths, and the sizes of these quakes since the swarm began. they are from 14km to 0.1 km. There seems to be a pattern of movement from deep to the surface and back again, and the pattern keeps repeating itself. Some of the 5's were on the surface, some 6 km deep. Sure looks like something is moving under there.

This earthquake swarm near Keeler reminds me that prior to the volcanic eruption in Alaska about a year ago +/- , there were dozens and dozens of earthquakes ... similar to what is happening now in the Keeler area.

imho and based on that, something is about to blow within the next few days.

It's probably the full moon, but watching that 2012 trailer and reading this thread has ME shaking!

I pray that it all just settles back down.

Not trying to be rude but...what?! Full Moon?

I know it has an effect but if that were the case, we would see earthquake swarms about once a month, 13x's a year.

Nah, something much bigger is going on.

Though, I would agree to say the Full Moon may agitate an already exxisting condition. I just can't see the Full Moon being soley responsible.

I wonder if this has any connection with the Sun's drastic, record breaking quiet cycle.

Sorry, I was unclear - I meant the full moon is probably affecting my emotions.

Actually, there is annual siesmic event that happens on the Juan de Fuca. Thats the only recurring event I have heard of.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 772923

Interesting, looks like I need to do some reading to know more about that event.

FYI. I don't think in any way that these influences have any connection as to locations of quakes. More along the lines of potentially causing minor plate movements indirectly and due to minor expansion and/or contraction of these plates, movement of water mass (oceans) and other factors that are all triggered ever so slightly by the initial resettling of axis movement.

Re - sunspots
It could be a plausible theory to. Is there any connection to an increase of earthquakes higher in magnitude during 2001, , which is the year we had a very active solar season?

Oh, really. How do you know? The sophistication of war fighting is far beyond most peoples comprehension! Do the research before you form any conclusions. There are signs that can be seen which indicate that EM 'weapons' are, in fact, being used. Do you know any of them? Ever seen a 'hole cloud'? Not normal, and did not exist prior to EM weapons development!

These earthquakes are manmade. Both of the super volcanoes here and in yellowstone are being targeted to try to get them to blow. Population control is being handled from multiple angles.

I have to agree. If you do any research at all on Telsa Howizters, Electromangnetic cannons, and the way his theory of scaler electromagnetics work, there's a lot of shit out there we don't know about.

[link to www.democraticunderground.com]

"Here's how you initiate a very large earthquake with such weapons. Take a convenient fault zone of set of them. Focus the interferometry on the fault zone, in the "diverging" mode, and deposit EM energy there in the rocks on both sides, increasing (slowly) the stress in the rocks by the reverse piezoelectric effect (deposit excess energy, get crystal mechanical movements).

"Do it slowly, and the stress will build up to large pressures well-above a plate slip minimum energy required. At some point, the rocks yield and one or both sides "slip" and move rather sharply, giving a very large earthquake in that zone.

"Do the same thing down in the earth (remember, LWs easily penetrate right through the earth and ocean at will, and so the "interference zone" focus can be inside the earth or beneath the ocean, at will.

"Anyway, focus this thing down to where the active part of the volcano is still slumbering, down where the hole in the plate has been made. Keep increasing the deposition of energy in the magma itself, and eventually the increasing pressure from deep within that volcano, underground, will cause an eruption. Build the energy slow, and the eruption will likely be much larger."

Oh boy, this area has had gas reaching the surface since 96 it looks like. I remember reading somewhere that you would start seeing large tree die offs before a super eruption.

CURRENT STATUS: Measurements of the total discharge of carbon dioxide (CO2) gas at the Horseshoe Lake tree kill area range from 50-150 tons per day. Variations are primarily caused by changes in barometric pressure. There is no obvious trend of either increasing or decreasing gas flux at this area; we conclude that the total gas flux coming to the surface at Horseshoe Lake has remained at these relatively high levels since 1996. We do not have enough data from any other gas discharge areas around the mountain to draw conclusions about changes over time at those locations.

High concentrations of carbon dioxide (CO2) in soil gas are killing trees on the flanks of Mammoth Mountain at the southwestern edge of Long Valley Caldera. First noted in 1990, the areas of tree kill now total about 170 acres in six general areas, including the most visually impressive tree-kill area adjacent to Horseshoe Lake on the south side of Mammoth Mountain. The soil gas in the tree-kill areas is composed of 20 to 90 percent CO2; there is less than 1 percent CO2 in soils outside the tree-kill areas.
