Ladies and Gentlemen.. CA Quake Swarm has begun...

This has me sort of well.. not scared but more like Verrry concerned for L.A area.. Right now these quakes seem to be out in the boonies... but it is also puting more pressure on other faults in the state.

firefly made a prediction months ago about a big one near barstow.

does anyone know if the behavior of swarms indicates a big one coming just as it is in a volcano?

I used to live in Bakersfield for nearly 10 years and I agree that this is definitely not usual. I'm not familiar with the Keeler area so I decided to read up a little. You might be interested in the following link that describes the area the history and some amazing old photos:

I also came across another Earthquake listing that lists for California & Nevada and it is amazing to see the number of earthquakes in the past two days at just south of Keeler.
