A child that is born is a full human being with the right to exist. If a mother can't care for a child she should have thought of that before she got pregnant in the first place. If she has a child she can't care for, why not just leave it at a church or hospital.

A country that kills it's own babies is not seeking blessings. First born children are imparted an extra dose of blessings to help care for their family. America is missing a large amount of the blessings of the first born due to abortion. It's the firstborn child that is usually aborted. They die and take their blessings with them. There are no second firstborns.

Ok, let's dispense with the religious stuff. I am not a believer, and I don't appreciate having your morality shoved down my throat.

If it's in the womb, and especially if it's early in the pregnancy- it is not a child, it is a *fetus*. There is a difference. A child is a living, breathing human being capable of living outside the womb.

As repulsive as abortion may be, I consider it a necessary evil. To force a woman to endure a pregnancy and the pain of childbirth against her will is not acceptable either. To have a woman give birth to a child and toss it in a dumpster to die is worse than aborting it. For a crack addicted welfare mommy to give birth to a child so she can get a bigger welfare check is wrong. For her to raise that child in who knows what kind of abusive and unloving conditions is worse than aborting it. Yet this happens every day too. People who should not have kids do, and they abuse them, torture them, raise them in living hells, and unleash their damaged progeny upon the world.

Children should be loved and wanted. A woman forced to bear a child she does not want is not the answer. The answer is preventing all these unwanted pregnancies in the first place.

I wish you Christians would just worry about what you do, and leave the rest of us alone to live by our own consciences.

Yes female animals DO kill their young. Usually if resources are very low or the young is disabled in some way, they may be killed or abandoned in favour of the young that have a greater chance of survival.
