This is off topic but is something I was thinking about yesterday -
Do you believe there were female giants? I don't recall the Bible mentioning them.
You know that is a very good question. I don't recall either of any book or bible I have read or any other manuscript telling me of female giants.
Maybe there was but that would be just speculation on my part.
I know they were drinking their own blood(other giants blood) when there was not any mans blood left to drink. They even started eating each other from what I have learned.
But, a good question.. If you find something on that, I would be interested.. Thanks.
Listen, if you dont find it, just make up some stuff like you have already.
by the way, how many female angels are there?
A Major side kick.. lol
You slap me then ask a question. lol
You tell me how many female angels are in heaven. Sounds like you know answer already.
Have a nice day!
No, not at all. You are the one with 3 degrees.
I just thought you of all people would know that one.
Hey Major! I hope that at one point you can see what is going on. If you want to continue to bait and switch, fine keep it up and keep it coming.
So, what is your objective now? Setting up a trap for me to fall in. How nice! Just like I keep shoving in front of you eyes, "Go against any teaching of a pastor, and you will pay dearly for it."
You seem intent to punish me any way you feel is righteous in your mindset. See, I am not your enemy. The enemy is within you!
Just because I proved my point on Song of Moses, Rapha, Kenan, I am now your forever punching bag. "Kind of what I said was truth, huh?"
Now do I think you are very knowledgeable about the bible. Yea, you are very good, but, some of the things you think is correct has been proven by me that you are incorrect. And I know that tares you up a bit! Let it go! Those that think highly of you might get the wrong impression of your character as a pastor as they watch you switch and bait me!
Like I said, the Lord will work on you, so I don't have to worry about you. After all, my main point has been proven about many pastors!
I feel for ya! I had the same issue you have. You are like I used to be, had to have all the answers! Does not mean a hill of beans I am sure to the Lord! I am sure an old lady that put her trust in the Lord and passed on has a better chance at heaven than the best of the best scholars. I fully believe that. If you don't, then that is fine by me.
If you want to keep chatting I promise I will not call you college boy anymore and I will also not call you pastor anymore. I would rather call you Major, it fits your character well. Major of what I don't know. lol
Have a good one..
Yea, I just sit around waiting to see how you out smarted me again.
Its my middle name. What did you think it meant?
I had no part in it, I was only just born then. I will ask my mother and of course get right back to you.
I know exactly what is going on my friend and most everyone else does to. We know that you have some emotional problems. Probably from a pastor when you were a little boy in his church. It sounds like he really messed you up emotionally. If you want to take it out on me, I already told you that I do not care.
I would much rather talk about the Bible without names being called and hurtful things being said but it looks like you just can not help yourself. So, go ahead.
O...what about those female angels? You waiting on some one else to answer this one.
Quoting: Major 647112
Well, well, well, since you couldn't get me to accept your sinners stance that you wanted to whip on me, now it is the emotional card being played. What a child you are!
See what you are doing it again the bait and switch technique! You bait, hoping someone takes the bait, then you switch.
Major, you mis-understood what I even said about your name. I did not say anything bad about your name, I just said I was not going to use college boy to rib you with, nor will I give you the honor of pastor at the same time. I said I would use your avatar name Major. Then I ding ya on your name as way to say, that is all I got left. FINE that your name is Major. Maybe it was given by your parents because they fore saw you as a Major pain. lol.. I am just kidding and I an very serious on that. NO, really I am and have been just joking and How many times must I declare that. But if you want to keep up the slicing and dicing I can stay with you for ever, from now until the Lord comes if you wish. I love it!
So, what is next from you? First it is the 'sinner' card, next it is something else like the word "liar" card, next it is the emotional card. So I can't wait to see how a special guy like you operates. Again I would hate to be one of your folks in church. You would have me strung up and hung by now all in the name of the Lord. Geeish you have it got it bad, that is pride..
Still don't see it, huh?

Well you have slapped me so much I was slapp happy!
lol
What about the answer of the female angels???
You gonna answer it or not?
Why should I answer any question of yours. All it is about with you is to make me your slave, make me your punching bag because everyone can see that you were mistaken on the Song of Moses. I will continue to present that because if flames your soul that someone might have a bit of knowledge that goes beyond what you have taught and learned by yourself. I saw your pride on other postings and how others praised you. You were in your glory and you loved it.
You are like another Baptist pastor that wanted me to join his church. He wanted me to be dedicated to him. I asked him to help me understand what he means by that statement, and he said, just that dedicated to him. I told him as I am telling you now,I am only dedicated to one, that being Jesus Christ. If you can't except that, then your not what you think you are.
Will you please tone it down. I am just asking a question. No need to get excited my friend. It is a simple question.
If you do not know the answer, no big deal. I was just trying to talk civilly with you.

I am rather inclined to believe there were no female giants - the whole x/y chromosome thing.
Perhaps the fallen angels did not have that extra chromosome seeing as they were not human men.
Yes, I do wonder about the strangest things. LOL
Well we know that woman do have girls and boys as babies.
So we could conclude that giant woman were around also.. That would be an assumption tho.. lol
That be true but the x or y chromosome is what determines the sex of the baby and that come from the man not the woman.
So- if angels did not have that extra chromosome - then only males would be born. See what I mean?
No need to get upset, I am just asking.
IF all angels were CREATED beings and have a "glorified" body according to Matthew 22:30, why would there be any x or y or z ot a or v chromozones since angels are not human.????
Because we are created in their image.
Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:
You are saying that we, humans are created in the inage of angels according to Genesis 1:26.
Yes -
Do you have a better explanation as to who the 'our' is in that verse.

Genesis 1:26
"And God said let us make man in our image after our likeness, and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over cattle and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth".
Here is what I believe. Let us make man - The three persons of the Trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, consult about it, and concur in it; because man, when he was made, was to be dedicated and devoted to Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. That man was made in God's image, and after his likeness; two words to express the same thing. God's image upon man, consists, In his nature, not that of his body, for God has not a body, but that of his soul. The soul is a spirit, an intelligent, immortal spirit, an active spirit, herein resembling God, the Father of spirits, and the soul of the world.
Then we understand that there are "Three plural pronouns", (We, Us, Our) used 6 different times in four different passages. Remember the word God (elohim) is also plural every time it is used in the Old Testament. Gen 11:7 also includes a plural verb (confuse) which even further, through grammar reinforces the plural "elohim" and the plural pronoun US.
"Our" Gen 1:26
"Us" Gen 1:26; 3:22; 11:7; Isa 6:8
"We" Isa 6:8
Now I am being very careful, I do not know this of you, I am simply stating that Angels are not included in "we" and "us":
A. Anti-Trinitarians claim that when God said, "Let US make man in OUR image". (Gen 1:26) he was speaking to angels.
I do not believe that angels are not created in the image of God, only man. WHY??????
If angels are included in "Let US make", then angels AND God are equally our creator. Think about that for a second.

I most certainly DO NOT believe in re-incarnation. Do not put words in my mouth.
Did I say re-incarnation? No I did not - I said incarnate. ONE TIME - Not RE.
Don't you believe God was incarnate in the Son? You had sure better.
>>If US is not the Trinity but angels, then what else could this verse possibly be talking about?<<
Since God is the 'trinity' then I guess you are saying He was talking to Himself. - NOT logical at all.
>>Can you list a Bible verse to validate what you are saying?<<
To give you a few verses would be a waste of time, as the whole Bible has to be taken in consideration to understand my point.
And I do not believe any number of verses could sway you from your opinion.
But we differ and I agree - move on. Rest in the Lord, for He is love.
Rest in the Lord, for He is wisdom.
Be silent! Be patient! Be quiet!
Be Still! - And know that He is God.
Thanks.
Hello Country Girl. I love that name. My parents were from North Alabama and I love going back there. Good people.
Yes I do, but you must promise that if you do not agree you will not get upset with me. Just say, OK, i do not agree.
I dont want another Littlestar after me.

I do not agree that - "Let US make man in OUR image". - would make the angels co-creators.
But Major, There are some things I believe that I think you do not and that is why I have a different perspective than you have.
As God was the Son incarnate - we are the angels(souls) incarnate.
We are here to pass a test that many of us failed before.
Think about it - why would God make a whole new species that had nothing to do with Satan and his attempt overthrow?
Why would He not use the ones involved and give them freewill and a new chance at redemption?
Country...look carefully at the verse.
It is God speaking and He says, "let US make man in OUR image". THe context is "making man, the creative act".
If US is not the Trinity but angels, then what else could this verse possibly be talking about?

OK. I see that you are believing in Re-incarnation.
He made angels and humans with freedom of choice.
See, we differ and I will move on.

Hello Major. I hope you see this..
Now I want to say something and with a whole honest open heart with much love I want to use your conversation with Country Girl to point out something that you do with everyone, but you cannot see it for yourself. Please, Please, Please understand and lets stop the mud throwing.
When Country Girl gave her response about the last subject that has been posted on this thread (woman angels, woman giants) you did a huge bait and switch or if you prefer I say the word "assumption" and I want to point that out..
Here is you switch and bait sentence..and it goes like this.."OK. I see that you are believing in Re-incarnation. """"""
Now that was a huge assumption on your part, is it not?
Sure now you will most likely acknowledge that because Country Girl did not fall for your assumption remark.
I have read many threads which you have responded too. And I see that pattern all over them. (Don't tell me to validate it and present it, because it is not my problem, it is yours).
You did it all through you conversation with me, over and over again. So I dished it back and now we are at the point where I am going to say something about myself.
( I was just like you. A know it all thinking I could be the best scholar, and know one was going to get over on me.)
God Himself rocked me one day which shook that right out of me. ( I know you will say, well you did it to me Little Star). Yep, and I confessed it many times that I was playing my part and that I was doing just what you were doing.
I even talked about other pastors that I have seen this type of switch and bait technique being used on others.
I can call it an assumption now, but you are not the Lord where you can read minds, and neither am I.
Country Girl is one of the most respectful people you will have the on this sight. She is well learned in scriptures and she has my full respect. And she and I have been here on glp for years. Not one time can I think of us getting upset with each. Why? Respect!
I am sure by now the word respect will be shoved back in my face saying"you didn't give me respect little star."
Sure I did. I gave you respect right up to the point until you kept doing your switch and bait method (or assumption to be more politely said)on me. Does it personally bother me? No, as I said, I have had the same problem that you are having as a bible student in the Word. Satan has a way about putting pride in peoples heart without them even knowing it. We find that in the bible when Christ ask Peter "Peter, how much do you love me?" Peter kept telling the Lord very much. But as you seen, Peter lied 3 times to people denying Christ. He not only lied to one person, but many. (What does the bible say about those who are liars on judgment day?)
See any of us can get caught up in our beliefs system so much so that we begin to assume huge amounts of others thoughts. After all , in communication of any subject it is done all the time.
But as I have said it before, I have seen many pastors do the switch and bait method and they do it so well that they can make anyone in their congregation look bad because they have the pulpit control. In other words, like anyone in control (lets say like Hitler), he had controlled a multitude of people, yet he himself was physical wimp.
I am not going to come at you any more with the "slap happy" fun that I have done, because now I have shown you what the Lord has shown about me in the past, many years ago.
If you find threads with me talking to someone, 99% of the time I just turn the cheek when someone blasts me. Oh, you will find one thread with me going after another person just like you and me (notice I still included me so you don't think I don't feel badly about what I use to do in the past). I don't push any scripture on anyone. I do present scripture and I don't push it into someones mind to the point where I use a hammer.
Major... I respect your love for the Lord, and I respect that you are doing your best to help others in the Word. But don't be a power player, on upmanship. Long before you have been on glp, I spoke of this on glp. This is nothing new that I have chatted with you about this subject.
I will follow up on another post. I am about to time out.

Question is, will you see yourself now like I have poorly tired to get you to see?
I said before, I believe that before the end of this year, the Lord will put on your heart what I have presented and I believe it will happen in front of your congregation or with them. They will be wondering why you are crying!

Country. I apologize to you if that was an assumption.
I have been hanging out too much with Starman and it rubbed off. Just kidding!!
I actually was responding to what you said:
"As God was the Son incarnate - we are the angels(souls) incarnate.
We are here to pass a test that many of us failed before."
The sentance "WE ARE HEAR TO PASS A TEST THAT MANY OF US FAILED BEFORE" is the basis of the Hindu faith. The KEY OF COURSE BEING "FAILED BEFORE" They believe that they must do better and better but fail, and thus come back again to pass the test of life over and over.
It reads as though that was what you were saying.
Again, my apologies. I was not assuming, just misunderstood your words.
As for the verse in Genesis, when we read it we obvioulsy can see that God is talking to someone. I would like to spend some time on this for you if you will allow me to. I did a lot of work on this several years ago but if you do not want to follow up, OK with me. This is not my opinions but instread a compilation of several other Bible teachers.
Genesis 1:26
The US has lead to a varity of explinations.
1). It is a validation of the Trinity.(Hinson,Feinburg)
2). It is a referance to "polythesim".(Keil)
3). It is a plural of deliberation. (Kroll)
4). It is a plural of majesty. (Delitszch)
5). Plural of the fulness/attributes and power.(Cassel)
6). God is speaking to the anglic host of heaven.(C. Core)
With all of the context of Scriptures, the best explination seems to be that it is GOD speaking as "pluralis majestatis" ie./God speaking OF Himself and WITH Himself in the plural because of Father, Son and Spirit being ONE. In other words, Father, Son and Spirit had a meeting and came to an agreement.
That understanding actually lies at the foundation of the Trinitatian view of the power that is concentrated in the absolute Divine Being of God. In that view, the only ones involved in US are the GodHead of Father, Son and Spirit.
Each view has positives and negitives with view #6 being the one with the most negitives. The largest of those being that if it is God (Trintiy) speaking TO the angels and says:
"Let US MAKE", then angels were just included in the crative work of the Trinity. That makes the view #6 the most un-appealing of all the choices.
I realize that this is not your opinion, but there it is for all to see. The choice is always yours.
This is off topic but is something I was thinking about yesterday -

Major, that was perfect the last sentence that you posted..
"I realize that this not your opinion, but there is is for all to see. The choice is always yours.."
Excellent! Choice is always ours and the Lord opens eyes and no man has the power to save any soul, no matter how much knowledge we have obtained as a human.
Holy Spirit is in full effect here, and I fully believe it.

I have to get going Major and Country Girl.
But I want to say something to you Major before I go..
When all is said and done, you are going to love me, and you will understand why I have been playing with your mind.
Hey, I am a really likable guy, at least that is what hundreds of people tell me that are my friends... lol
With that since we are talking about minds and logic and etc. I leave this with ya...
Two Hillbilly's, Bubba and Cooter, decided that they weren't going anywhere in life and thought they should go to college to get ahead.
Bubba goes in first, and the professor advises him to take math, history and logic.
"What's logic?" asked Bubba.
The professor answered, "Let me give you an example. Do you own a weed-whacker?"
"I sure do," answered the redneck.
"Then I can assume, using logic, that you have a yard," replied the professor.
"That's real good," the redneck responded in awe.
The professor continued, "Logic will also tell me that since you have a yard,
you also have a house."
Impressed, the redneck shouted, "AMAZIN'!"
"And since you own a house, logic dictates that you have a wife."
"Betty Mae! This is incredible!"
"Finally, since you have a wife, logically I can assume that you are heterosexual," said the professor.
"You're absolutely right! Why, that's the most fascinatin' thing I ever heard of! I cain't wait to take this here logic class."
Bubba, proud of the new world opening up to him, walked back into the hallway where Cooter is still waiting.
"So, what classes are ya takin?" he asks.
"Math, history and logic," replies Bubba.
Cooter says, "What in tarnation is logic?"
"Let me give you an example. Do ya own a weed-eater?"
"No."
"You're a queer, ain't ya?

As background, I was not raised in a Christian home and had
never come under the sound of the gospel. I assumed if I
lived decently, I would go to heaven.
In September 2001, I began to question my relationship with
God and my standing before Him, I began to question many
things.
The search began (seeking).
I started with an internet search looking for the meaning
of life. As with most internet searches, one thing led to
another to another to another. I was grasping for some
hope, something positive.
After a few hours, the following lines of scripture
appeared on my computer screen.
Jeremiah 29:12-13 (King James Version)
Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto
me, and I will hearken unto you.
And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for
me with all your heart.
"Praise God!" I thought, "There's hope!"
From that moment forward I became consumed with seeking
after God. I was to take God up on his promise. For my
part, I called on God and searched for Him with all my
heart...all my heart, nothing else mattered.
God was faithful. During my quiet time of prayer and
talking to God (silently), I felt a tremendous peace come
over me that lasted for hours. The following line of
scripture best describes God's peace found in prayer.
Psalm 91:1 (King James Version)
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall
abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I still did not own a Bible but God through the internet
provided an array of sites that guided me to verses that
delt with sin, repentance, the work of The Lord Jesus
Christ at The Cross and Salvation.
The Holy Spirit guides an earnest seeker.
Several weeks later, the Holy Spirit convicted my heart.
I realized that I was a lost sinner and that judgment was
coming, eternity lay in the balance. I prayed to God to
have mercy on my soul and to save me. That evening I
accepted/trusted Jesus as my Savior and His Work at The
Cross for my Salvation, I was saved! Redeeemed!
Salvation is a moment in time.
I was saved November 12th, 2001 at 7:30pm while talking to
god in my backyard.
That was the moment I trusted God's Word and believed in
His Great Plan of Salvation.
Salvation : Indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
John 14:23-26 (King James Version)
23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he
will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we
will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the
word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent
me.
25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present
with you.
26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the
Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things,
and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have
said unto you.
Praise God!

Joseph, try to join together with other faithful brothers and sisters in any way you can.
If you seek an assembly and they are not accepting pray how you have been dealt with up to God and try another.
Or just gather with those you know and have fellowship, the day does approach near.
Hebrews 10:25
(25) not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
Thanks.
Hello Country Girl. I love that name. My parents were from North Alabama and I love going back there. Good people.
Yes I do, but you must promise that if you do not agree you will not get upset with me. Just say, OK, i do not agree.
I dont want another Littlestar after me.
Anyway, that is what I believe.
The US in Genesis 1:26 is the Trinity.
Ok - I disagree.
I am most certainly a believer in God, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
If we are the angels incarnate, why does the Bible call us MAN? Can you list a Bible verse to validate what you are saying?
OK. I see that you are believing in Re-incarnation.
He made angels and humans with freedom of choice.
See, we differ and I will move on.
>>OK. I see that you are believing in Re-incarnation.<<
Country. I apologize to you if that was an assumption.
I have been hanging out too much with Starman and it rubbed off. Just kidding!!
I actually was responding to what you said:
"As God was the Son incarnate - we are the angels(souls) incarnate.

Ok Major - apology accepted but not necessary.
And about something you said in an earlier post - thanks for your comment about my user name. I chose it because that IS what I am, a country girl.
I am from and live in the eastern KY hills. (yes, God can even find us way up in here. LOL)
Now about this:
>>"As God was the Son incarnate - we are the angels(souls) incarnate.
We are here to pass a test that many of us failed before."<<
Now here I assumed something also - I assumed that you knew and understood and believed about the attempted overthrow by Satan and his followers in the world that was.
And rather than just automatically killing off these misguided angels, God did the fair thing - He created a vessel (that would be mankind) to contain the souls of all the angels and (including even Himself, as Jesus)
And this was the 'test'. Give them free will, as the angels themselves had but wipe away any knowledge from the time before.
And let them choose - who will they follow - God or satan.
Of course there were some angels that refused to be born of woman and Some of them are what we refer too as 'fallen angels, and most of those ones are in chains and awaiting the day of judgment, as mentioned in Jude.
Jud 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
2Pe 3:5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
But to sum it up Major - the 'test' is a one time opportunity for eternal life. There will be no make-up test and that is why we must choose wisely.
Now I know this is a little deep but it is the only way I can express myself.
And now I will borrow a quote from you:
>>I realize that this is not your opinion, but there it is for all to see. The choice is always yours.<<
LOL

And I do not believe any number of verses could sway you from your opinion.
But we differ and I agree - move on.
LOL

Understood.
And no, I had never heard of the thoughts you laid out.
I do not believe that to be the case...but.
There is a teaching out there in Christian circles that says the creation of Genesis 1:1 is a re-creation. The thought comes from all of the water already on the earth. The teaching is that God destroyed the earth, ie.: dinasauers etc. with a flood and the water in Genesis is what was left after that 1st flood. So in essense, a second chance. The Bible does say for Adam and Eve to RE-POPULATE the earth (Gen. 1:28) lit. "replenish".
I was just in Kentucky about a month ago. Really a beautiful state.

24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the

A wonderful testimony. You have thrilled my soul.
I now encourage you to follow through and get baptized and find a good Bible believing church and attach yourself to it.
If I can ever be of help, please let me know.
Did you get a Bible????? Let me know that as well.
If you didnt, we will figure out a way to get one to you.

Excuse me Major, but why should Joseph find a good Bible believing church and attatch himself to it? Every church believes they are good Bible believing churches, and in them you will find many hypocrits, and deceitful people. Of course maybe you do not believe that evil infiltrates churches.

Joseph, do not listen to the voices of error on these threads. Pay attention to your own post above, but the Comforter which is the Holy Ghost whom the Father will send in my name he shall teach you ALL THINGS and bring ALL THINGS to your REMEMBRANCE, whatsoever I HAVE SAID to you.
What did he say to you? Every word that is in the BIBLE. No other words only GOD's words. As you read those words and keep them. The Holy Spirit will call to your remembrance the words you need, when you need them and in those words are all the counsel you need on how to live in this world and also all the promises you will obtain, and what he promised he is able to fulfill because he is judged faithfull who PROMISED!

Hello Sister.
One of the reasons is that we are told to do so in the Scriptures in Hebrews 10:25:
"Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together as
the manner of some is, but exhorting one another, and
so much the more as ye see the day approaching".
That verse involves the entire worship experience of Christ and is an outward indication of an inner condition. The coming together of Gods people provides an opportunity for reciprocal encouragement, strengthening, and the learning of the Scriptures that can not be done by ourselves.
It is up to the individual person to decide whether or not the church he is in is actually a Bible believing church. The only way yo do that is of course, read the Bible. Look for the things done and said to match that of the Scriptures. Many will disagree with me but I will give you some examples to be on the look out for:
Example:
1) The preacher says that there is a way for
man to get to heaven other than through Jesus.
2) The Bible is NOT the complete enearrant Word of God.
3) We do not committ sin but instead make mistakes.
4) Jesus saves us but we must not do this and we must not
do that or we must DO this or that to be saved.
We can go on with this for a long time but I think you get the idea.
Yes you are correct in that you will always find hypocrites and deceitful people in church because the church is full of SINNERS. Some are saved sinners and some are lost sinners but all are sinners. The idea of course is to preach/teach the Word of God so that those sinners are convicted of their sin and repent and or come to Christ for the foregivness of those sins.

I am sure you mean to do well, though I take assembling ourselves does not include all people assembling together or the word ourselves would not be used.
Fellowship is for those that have the HS.
I also question your reasoning of saved sinners? Do you mean someone that has confessed with their mouth they are saved but have not the HS? Because once you have the HS you cannot be counted a sinner, and the reason is because his seed is within you, and Christ has been and always will be sinless. This is a great mystery of Christ and his body, do you agree?
