Re: Bible-Prophesy, Timing, 7th Seal, 1st Trumpet, 1,260 Days, 1290 Days, 1,335 DaysQuote

The hour I first believed

As background, I was not raised in a Christian home and had
never come under the sound of the gospel. I assumed if I
lived decently, I would go to heaven.

In September 2001, I began to question my relationship with
God and my standing before Him, I began to question many
things.

The search began (seeking).

I started with an internet search looking for the meaning
of life. As with most internet searches, one thing led to
another to another to another. I was grasping for some
hope, something positive.

After a few hours, the following lines of scripture
appeared on my computer screen.

Jeremiah 29:12-13 (King James Version)

Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto
me, and I will hearken unto you.

And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for
me with all your heart.

"Praise God!" I thought, "There's hope!"

From that moment forward I became consumed with seeking
after God. I was to take God up on his promise. For my
part, I called on God and searched for Him with all my
heart...all my heart, nothing else mattered.

God was faithful. During my quiet time of prayer and
talking to God (silently), I felt a tremendous peace come
over me that lasted for hours. The following line of
scripture best describes God's peace found in prayer.

Psalm 91:1 (King James Version)

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall
abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

I still did not own a Bible but God through the internet
provided an array of sites that guided me to verses that
delt with sin, repentance, the work of The Lord Jesus
Christ at The Cross and Salvation.

The Holy Spirit guides an earnest seeker.

Several weeks later, the Holy Spirit convicted my heart.
I realized that I was a lost sinner and that judgment was
coming, eternity lay in the balance. I prayed to God to
have mercy on my soul and to save me. That evening I
accepted/trusted Jesus as my Savior and His Work at The
Cross for my Salvation, I was saved! Redeeemed!

Salvation is a moment in time.

I was saved November 12th, 2001 at 7:30pm while talking to
god in my backyard.

That was the moment I trusted God's Word and believed in
His Great Plan of Salvation.

Salvation : Indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

John 14:23-26 (King James Version)

23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he
will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we
will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the
word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent
me.

25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present
with you.

26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the
Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things,
and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have
said unto you.

Praise God!

Scripture Truth:

Ephesians 2:8-9 (King James Version)

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

God Bless!

Congratulations Joseph!!

A wonderful testimony. You have thrilled my soul.
I now encourage you to follow through and get baptized and find a good Bible believing church and attach yourself to it.

If I can ever be of help, please let me know.

Did you get a Bible????? Let me know that as well.
If you didnt, we will figure out a way to get one to you.

God bless you my friend.

Excuse me Major, but why should Joseph find a good Bible believing church and attatch himself to it? Every church believes they are good Bible believing churches, and in them you will find many hypocrits, and deceitful people. Of course maybe you do not believe that evil infiltrates churches.

Hello Sister.

One of the reasons is that we are told to do so in the Scriptures in Hebrews 10:25:
"Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together as
the manner of some is, but exhorting one another, and
so much the more as ye see the day approaching".
That verse involves the entire worship experience of Christ and is an outward indication of an inner condition. The coming together of Gods people provides an opportunity for reciprocal encouragement, strengthening, and the learning of the Scriptures that can not be done by ourselves.

It is up to the individual person to decide whether or not the church he is in is actually a Bible believing church. The only way yo do that is of course, read the Bible. Look for the things done and said to match that of the Scriptures. Many will disagree with me but I will give you some examples to be on the look out for:

Example:
1) The preacher says that there is a way for
man to get to heaven other than through Jesus.

2) The Bible is NOT the complete enearrant Word of God.

3) We do not committ sin but instead make mistakes.

4) Jesus saves us but we must not do this and we must not
do that or we must DO this or that to be saved.

We can go on with this for a long time but I think you get the idea.

Yes you are correct in that you will always find hypocrites and deceitful people in church because the church is full of SINNERS. Some are saved sinners and some are lost sinners but all are sinners. The idea of course is to preach/teach the Word of God so that those sinners are convicted of their sin and repent and or come to Christ for the foregivness of those sins.

I am sure you mean to do well, though I take assembling ourselves does not include all people assembling together or the word ourselves would not be used.
Fellowship is for those that have the HS.
I also question your reasoning of saved sinners? Do you mean someone that has confessed with their mouth they are saved but have not the HS? Because once you have the HS you cannot be counted a sinner, and the reason is because his seed is within you, and Christ has been and always will be sinless. This is a great mystery of Christ and his body, do you agree?

Yes I do mean well. I hope all take it as such. I do not think I have said anything on here that was not meant for good.

Since someone had to write the book of Hewbrews, he would of course had include himself in the word "ourselves".

The context of the conversation I had was about the church, hence fellowship with other believers. Since All believers have the Holy Spirit at conversion the fellowship would be with those that have the Holy Spirit....1 Corth 12:13
"For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body,
whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or
free, and have been all made to drink of one Spirit".

No, I can not agree to your last statement. I do however understand what you are saying.

I mean that when we accept Christ, say with our mouth and believe in our heart that Jesus died for me and then rose on the 3rd day, we are forgiven of our sins, past preasent and future. We are saved and we now have the Holy Spirit in us. We are now saved sinners because we will sin again and again and again. I guess you might call it a play on words because I am not saying "sinner" as in guility of sins or that they are counted with the un-saved sinners.
We are saved but we still sin.

Romans 7:15
"For that which I do I allow not, for what I would, that do I (Paul)not, but what I hate, that I do. If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. For I know that in me, that is in my flesh dwelleth no good thing for to will is present with me but how to perform that which is good...I FIND NOT. For the good that I would I do not but the evil which I would not, THAT I DO".

1 John 1:9
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

That is what we do to be saved! Now notice the next verse:

10. "If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar and his word is not in us".

That is the struggle of two natures. The OLD nature of sin is not vaporized when the NEW nature comes to us. We all will struggle with that Old Nature until the day we day.
That is why people do things that we just can not believe that they would do.

Your quote Ephesians 5:32..."This is a great mystery of Christ and his body," do you agree?,,,but that verse however has nothing to do with your statement.
It refers to the church and how husbands should treat thier wives.
