Why do our toenails smell like parmesan cheese?

In traditional Italian cheesemaking, the peasants separate the curds and whey with their feet in the same way they stomp on grapes to make wine. That's what gave Parmesan it's unique flavor and aroma.

Because we eat too much dairy. The Japanese have a nickname for Westerners with that problem, but I can't remember the name they give people whose feet have the 'dairy' smell, which most Japanese and other Asians lack.

I got my ear pierced when I was 14, stopped bothering to wear an earring since I was 18. Every few years I get a tiny white plug that builds-up in the unused earring hole. It is very small and unnoticeable unless I rub my earlobe. The tiny plug when squeezed out has a parmesan cheese smell. I don't get this in my toes though, cause I keep them clean enough I guess, maybe I need to push something through it every so often to keep from having something grow in it. But I've heard of this on feet before with Japanese foot binding, due to the folds of skin being pressed together tightly and not getting air, so moisture and darkness allows little things to grow there. Unless your feet are bound, you should be able to clean them and keep the smell away. make sure to scrape under your toenails with the sharp edge of a nail file, just don't push the skin beneath your nail too far back or it'll hurt and possibly bleed if your forceful.

swab it on your toes or soak your feet. add water to the soak, so as not be wasteful.
