Really?!?! Do some research on the last team to hold out and have an all white team. I believe it was Alabama...and the other team was USC..maybe wrong college but it was southern cal. The Revs. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson attacked the bid by Rush Limbaugh to buy the St. Louis Rams on Monday, saying the conservative radio host's track record on race should exclude him from owning an NFL team.

Hell, quite a few white men own franchises. Mr. Limbaugh was quoted on record making comments about the NFL. Doesn't matter if it's true or not, the fact is, particular controversial comments were made about race concerning the NFL. The general public views the NFL as an american past-time. While the NFL franchise members and players view it as an investment millionaire's club. The players job is to win not only games. But they have to win ticket holders. If no one goes to the games, they don't make any money. So, sometimes the players do controversial things to garner attention. In the name of entertainment. |

That is one of the problems in this country... too many people want to throw the race card right off the bat without thinking of the other 1000000 things that could be the problem. This is a problem for all races in this land, the black/white just seems more amplified due to those being the majority races in the country at the moment.

One of the biggest reasons we had slaves over here to begin with was the fact they could survive the hot, humid climate in the souther better than the Europeans could. Sure this didn't account for the first ones, but it does account for the numbers of slaves that were here before the beginning of the US Civil War.
Another thing that should be noted, I don't think a lot of people realize is that slavery is still going on in this world to this very day. Slavery in the US just had one unique property: We were the only ones to gather slaves based solely on race, which is for the reason I stated above.
