I wish this could be explained. The market futures are soaring this morning on some good news from upbeat results from finance firm JPMorgan Chase and chipmaker Intel.

Even though September retail sales are showing a decline further proving the this recession/depression is in full swing.

But alas we are seeing the American DOW most likely claiming it's 10,000 number. What makes even less sence is that anyone really cares about it hitting 10,000.

Do people really think that imaginary number makes everything ok? Who do these people really think put all this fake money back into the markets? It sure as hell was not the people. Actually wait, yes it was but not until it was stolen by the American government. But even that wasnt enough so they printed even more money and flushed it into the market to prop it up.

I find it astonishing that people may actually be buying into this bullshit that the global economy is on it's way back to normal and that we have seen the worst of this global economic meltdown.

Not even close in my eyes.
Life is not about how hard you hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward.

Words to live and die by in these trying times.

I agree.

The high was like 14,000

No one even believed it would drop below 10,000 in the first place, so it's kind of silly for that to be a marker of any value.

Dow 10,000 back to March 1999 levels... yes let's celebrate 10 years worth of wealth depletion...

And all because of JPMorgan - i would hope that a bank that can take money from the FED for 0 - .25% interest and turn around and loan it to the US government for 2-4% interest would make money. do that with billions of dollars and you tally up "profit" rather quickly...

We witnessed a Coup d'état. Wall Street took over the government last year and now we get to watch them celebrate unabashed at our expense...

It is worse than gambling, it is rigged. I wouldn't bet this market up or down. The same crooks that crashed the market are the ones that made it rally, they were the first out and the first back in. Probably trading amongst one another just to pump the thing back up. I have a feeling many Americans are finished playing their "steal my money" game.
