Cajole means essentially to "coax" but the derivation of the word?.....
[French cajoler, possibly blend of Old French cageoler, to chatter like a jay (from geai, jai, jay; see jay2) and Old French gaioler, to lure into a cage (from gaiole, jaiole, cage; see jail).]

2) In the original script...in the 2nd call attempt to the phone number Dr Kathryn Railly left a message saying "The Army of the Twelve Monkeys they're the ones who are going to do it. I can't do anything more. The police are watching me."

HOWEVER.....cue dramatic music..... Gilliam added two words that were NOT in the script at the end of this message.."Merry Christmas!"
Remember then that the holidays are the busiest travel days of the year. The red haired assistant opens the vial in a crowded airport and looks around as if...uh...i've done it now.
