If you want to get the bejeezes scared out of you though, I'd recommend seeing it on the big screen, or at least if you have a big screen tv in your home, oh and don't forget to turn out all the lights!

I watched this movie on a computer yesterday and could not sleep at night after.
Believe me, I watch a lot of horror movies and I knew that I will laugh about this movie as I do when watching others.
During the movie I paused, fastforwarded, tried to laugh but could not sleep later anyway.
I triet to be cyinical and ironic but couldn't.
Must be something wrong with this one. |

Last night its 10:00PM and I finish working at the restaurant I'm employed at and have time to kill before I head home across downtown Ottawa. I check in at the local movie theatre and find that Paranormal Activity is playing. Never heard of it, but hell, I'll take the challenge and 'see it alone'. For the most part it wasn't scary while I was watching it.
Noticed the Baphomet clearly though, and it was also clear the the makers/studio wanted to make a point the it was Baphomet being depicted in the film (with all the hooves sounds, beastial claiming of the woman, etc).
Well.. whatever.
As I started walking home I was listening to the radio and two things stuck out - first I put on the local campus station and immediately heard "..in the court of the Crimson Kingggggg..". Understanding the context of Stephen King's 'Crimson King' theme, I got slightly creeped out. So I soon changed the station and what-do-ya-know, CBC Radio is discussing goats.
Went home and slept soundly until, say 4-5 o'clock. Then.. I woke up JUST like the character did in the movie (like I had a nightmare, or something brushed by me). Spent 1-2 hours just trying to calm down, but it was hard since I was imagining all sorts of shit going on in my room. It was like I was 12 and imagining the Scream masked killer going after me again :( But I'm 19 now!
Went to do laundry today and had an hour to spare while my load was in the dryer. Checked out the nearby Microplay store and bought the game Shin Megami Tensai: Nocturne for $35 (a great deal for its limited release). Started playing and... the first demon (you can 'summon' them in this game) they show is... Baphomet.
Fuck.
What does everything think of this?

Jesus people wake up, I know it is 'fun' to get freaked out and I know we are all adrenaline addicts, but when you program your body with fear (nevermind the nanofibers of chemtrail origin) you release a lot of horomones that suppress your immune system and it takes your body a long time to recover, (never mind what it does to your mind!) |

I saw this movie tonight. Just a low budget horror flick with a creative marketing plan.
However I'm sure it showed what a demonic possession would be like. It could happen to you. |

It was just an OK movie.
I found a high def version online and my GF and I watched it on a 52 inch tv in the dark.
Like I said...it was OK but it definatly doesn't live up to it's hype. |

Ok really people everything these days are ment to make your mind just boggle and scare you, thats what the media and movie makers want its how they make money they would do anything for it...... there is no way in hell they could put a virus in a movie to infect you. You would have to be so dumb to believe that i just went and saw the movie tonight and you know it was pretty good for being that low of a budget. It made my heart beat but i really hope they kind of come out with more movies like that i mean dang guys how often does a movie make you believe in that crap...... Also i noticed ok for how much money it took to make it i honestly think they spent way to much money on it. really come on alot of people could do it for so much cheaper........ and make it just as good. O and lastly it has absolutely nothing to do with 2012 lol that is stupid to think. So I thought i would leave and finish this by saying be careful before you go to bed cause like Katie said locking the doors and windows and having security wont stop IT!!! from getting to you...... and it doesnt care about what it does as long as you die or at least dissapear..... |

I saw it by myself because I saw the movie poster and took up their 'dare' of seeing it by myself :P and I had time to kill.
Walking around Ottawa is largely a safe thing to do, unlike say New York or Chicago. Most of the time even women walking alone don't think twice about it. It wasn't really dark since the downtown core (most of what I was walking in) was, although it was empty since it was Sunday, it was also well lit. |

I've heard some spiritual views talk about the spiritual world being a two way window, and heavily based on free will. If you choose to watch something disturbing, and it persuades you (such as by inspiration or fear) that such a thing is possible, you are opening that window.
I know I've seen a couple of films over the years that I found deeply disturbing. So even without a spiritual world, the idea of being psychologically attacked, in a sense, by your own fears is entirely plausible. |

I watched it. I was a little scared but I was more angry that the people around me could not sense that the fear in them was being drawn out of them like vampires.
I leaned over to my wife and said "I can feel the negative energy being sucked away from the theater....
Be smart people this is not the kind of thing you want to experience.
