Wow, didn't think I would get any good replies on my thread and it would be lost in GLP's sea of threads! :)

To answer some previous posters:

1. Yes, we have had what we call "Shake and Bake" weather this week. We started the week off with cold weather and three days of rain (well rain for Cali) and today was 85-92 up and down the coast with 100 in the desert. In the past, we would have this type of weird weather prior to some shaking.

2. I know my dogs have been acting really weird like they are spooked and keep panting so much that I've made them sleep in our garage because they keep scratching the doors in the house.

3. I live on the other side of the 605/22/405 near the Los Al base and we have jet fighters fly over on a weekly basis, but this sound was not fighter jets after burn and the sound came from north of my position, as if one were heading North on Studebaker toward Spring St., but the sound was up high in the sky, not a plane, etc. If it were a plane or experimetnal craft, it was really high in the atmosphere. We have a lot of air traffic here, so I can distinguish between military C-17, C-130, jets, and the commercial jets that land at LB airport.

4. Sound was not coming from the direction of Anaheim (Disneyland nightly fireworks) and they start at 9 or 9:30 p.m., this was before 8 pm.

5. I love the Orange Curtain!!! :)

Hopefully, it was the Aurora and crossing my fingers to be spared from any serious shaking since I don't have earthquake coverage on my house. BTW, on our last earthquake that really shook the area in June?, it was like a 5.0 in Inglewood, we ran outside and about 1-2 minutes after the earthquake, we heard weird booms high in the sky too, but it was almost like crackling like fire works, but again high in the atmosphere. Posted that on GLP that night as well and some other people had heard the same thing, one gal was in Irvine, which is like 25-27 miles from Long Beach, so what ever it was it had a significant range. Scalar?
