You can link videos hosted there inside your posts on GLP just like you can do for youtube videos with the new "GLP Video" button on the post form.... Just copy the URL from the GLP Video site and paste it into your post here, hightlight the URL in the post and push the "GLP Video" button...
You can also download videos straight from youtube google etc into your GLP Video channel and share them with others anywhere on the net (same as youtube)
- Just click the "Remote File" button in the upload menu to upload remote linked videos straight into your GLP Video account / channel..
You can of course also upload your own videos off your computer as well...
But it's not just videos... you can also upload IMAGES to your GLP Video account and share those....
Don't forget to customize your members page when you join.. You can add background images, fully customize the links / colors etc... Hover the mouse over your name in the top right of the page when you're logged in and choose "My Profile" then you can set it up from there.. There is an "Advanced Design Customization" link inside the "Channel Theme" menu where you can do all kinds of cool stuff to your members channel page...
The audio file option is still under development but we should have that working soon for you. Then you will be able to upload mp3 type audio files as well... If you upload audio only files right now they won't be converted properly for the site... I'll let you know when we get the encoding fixed... Video and Image uploading works fine... give it a try...
Please remember this site is still under development and this is the first public beta test of the system. We will be making changes / improvements based on your comments here...

You can also embed your GLP hosted videos anywhere else on the web you want...

I just got back last night from working away, and haven't had time to look into it yet. But I have a question:
If members create an account on the video channel, will there eventually be a link to that member's video channel (for example), under that person's username, along with the 'report post' and 'add to faves' links....or on their profile?

I would love to have that transparency fixed. But it's only on the channel video so it's not really an issue. Anyway i'm having fun with it and there are some good vids up there already. |

I have one request; would it be possible to retain gif animations as animations when they're uploaded? GLP seems to turn them into JPGs of just the first frame. |

we will fix that asap
it might be adjustable in your advanced channel settings but I'm not sure
