I stole someone's grocery cart yesterday...
I didn't mean to. I guess it was just a blonde moment.

The store was packed and I was parking my cart and retrieving items from various aisles because I couldn't get through. When I got to the checkout stand, I had all of these strange ingredients which I never buy (bison burger, eggplant, Romano cheese, bread and butter pickles, lentyl soup). I bought them anyway because I was too embarassed to tell the clerk what I had done. I Googled the ingredients and decided they were making Mousakka. So, we are having Mousakka for supper, although when the husband saw the rest of the ingredients, such as nutmeg, allspice, cinnamon stick, bay leaves, he took out a beef tenderloin. Anyone ever eaten this Mousakka? Is it edible?

Please tell me somebody else has done something this stupid!

Never? LOL Well, as educated as I am, I do tend to be a little skatterbrained -- makes life interesting. My daughter loves to travel with me as I always have an adventure.

One time I was heading out of town on business. I had all of these boxes to check and by the time I got done, I barely had time to get to my gate. Once I was in the plane, I realized I had left my car in front of the terminal!!! I called when I landed and had them push it into the parking lot (it wasn't locked and was a small car and a small-town airport).

Then there was the time I got out of my car to chip the ice off the windshield and my car door closed. It was locked and I couldn't get into the house to get another set. I was heading to the airport to pick up my husband and I had to page him to take a cab home.

Of course, that's only the top of the iceburg.

Re: I stole someone's grocery cart yesterday...
So it was you who stole my cart!!!!
I wanted to treat my husband well on our 10th aniversary weddingday. He had to work later on the evening so there was not much time.
I was so bloody pissed not seeing my cart and felt embarassed at the same time time, as I tend to forget thing lately.
First I searched for about 10 minutes or so. Then I asked the manager with a read head, no result eighther.
After 40 minutes or so I gave up.
We ordered pizza, but I felt my evening was ruined anyway!
The rest of the week I don´t have the time to do shopping, so our meals will be sober.

I did realize it when I was unloading my cart, but I was too embarassed to tell the checkout person I had a bunch of stuff in my cart that wasn't mine -- so I just bought it!

Realistically, it could have been worse -- a $200 bottle of wine or something. And I have a very understanding husband! I have three blonde sisters who aren't any better. I can't even imagine what my parents went through raising us -- but then they didn't know the half of it. LOL

And you shouldn't have been embarassed. You should see me. I got this thing where I panic every time I have to count change when I'm in a store or restaurant.

Yes I have, many times.
It is sort of a traditional dish here in Bulgaria.
It is made of potatooes, eggs( the cover of the whole meal), meat and it is AWESOME.
I don't have it anymore though.
I am practising food combining now and proteins+carboydrates is a out of question for me now.

I know it's kind of a stupid thing to worry about, but I just have this vision of some poor 80 year old who spent twenty minutes walking from one end of the store to the other collecting her groceries and then I come along and push them away while she has her back turned. And you know, I'm pretty tall and leggy -- she probably couldn't have caught up to me even if she had tried. Well, at least the store manager didn't come over and tap me on my shoulder and tell me I'm some terrible person for taking an old lady's groceries. That would have been utter humiliation.

Re: I stole someone's grocery cart yesterday...
I went to Wal*Mart yesterday to get dog food and pick up a prescription. I got a cart from the parking lot, pushed all the way into the store, and parked it while I stood in line at the pharmacy pickup window.

I turned my back for a moment while I paid for the prescription, and when I turned around, the cart was gone. I had to hike all the way back to the front of the store to get another one.

People who shop at Wal*Mart are low-life assholes!
