This is getting out of hand. The Turkish PM has just guaranteed his country serious beef with Israel.

The Turkish prime minister defends Iran's right to pursue peaceful nuclear technology, saying that Iran's right is not 'questionable'.
Speaking at an Istanbul forum, Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Tehran's nuclear activities should not be the only one under focus.
“Iran's nuclear program should not be the only one under focus, other countries possessing nuclear weapons should be questioned as well,” Hurriyet Daily News quoted Erdogan as saying. -Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Then they sign a treaty with Armenia and establish stronger ties with Syria
Just two days ago they put tarrifs on Israeli goods and have a dig at them economically
Now they're openly siding with Iran and pressing Israel about their nukes

Hopefully we'll be getting this show on the road. I'm growing weary of all this stupid doom-waiting.

Good article and find OP.

This is just another example...
... I saw Obama move for Turkey early in his mandate a good thing... maybe it could stop them from going away... but it looks like it failed.
Turkey turning against NATO doesn't look well for NATO and eastern Europe and Israel...
Or it's nothing and he just wants equality on the world stage... Everybody is looking at Iranian nuclear program... but no one wants to inspect the Israeli nuclear program...

The news coming out of Turkey alone is cause for concern. They've been moving closer to Iran by the DAY
Turkey is arguably a superpower of the region so the fact that they're getting on Israel's bad side (and fast) is extremely worrying.
Sounds like they're picking a fight.
Could you imagine Israel vs Turkey, Syria AND Iran??
That's World War Three irrespective of whatever way you look at it. Remember Turkey is Asia, Middle East and European land. -Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has |

They have high tech NATO gear + a very big army.
They are almost a match for the Israeli army. |

their support is very critical to the US/UK criminals trying to encircle the Caucasus and dominate the Caspian oil/gas reserves and pipelines
not too mention it tips the balance of power in region
Israel should be very concerned now
this is an unintended consequence and throws a monkey wrench in their plans
look for more desperate measures from the criminals |

Hershey User ID: 799526 10/21/2009 6:01 PM | | Re: ***TURKEY ANNOUNCES IT SUPPORTS IRAN'S "NUCLEAR RIGHT"-*** | Quote | Lolita wrote, "Everybody is looking at Iranian nuclear program... but no one wants to inspect the Israeli nuclear program". Israel has never threatened to use its nuclear weapons, even though all those who oppose Israel know that they should expect retaliation from Israel for any nuclear attack on the Jewish state. No-one has to fear that Israel will initiate any attack using nuclear weapons. There is thefore no need to inspect any Israeli sites for nuclear weapons.
In contrast, Iran has openly threatened to wipe Israel off the map. I assume that Iran is simply waiting to acquire the means to attempt to destroy Israel, and the most obvious way is to do so with nuclear weapons.
So if the world wants to prevent a war with massive losses of life, they must stop Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons, and do so immediately. |
