He's full of crap he told us the dollar would rally when it was 82 and now he bigs himself up because he it went from 75 to 76. He predicted the dow rally would end at 9580 and now he's making out he was on the ball because it's down but not even below his original point.

I guess that was another hit for TRADER. seeing as yes the DOW did loose over 30% of it's value after he made that prediction but 5 months later the DOW did rally.
Now here's the irony as the DOW stood at the time TRADER. made this rally ending thread in August the DOW never really rallied above his 08 prediction.

Oct 28th 08 - Dow Bounce coming
Oct 31th 08 - Dow rally is coming.
Dec 8th 08 - Dow to rally very soon.
Soon after that he changed his mind and guess who on Mar 21st 09 just 2 weeks after the DOW bottomed (then at 7278) said "DOW and SP500 to begin a new leg down."?
You guessed the ever useless TRADER. But give him another 2 weeks and "The Bullish Dow has bottomed"...
That was until July the second with the Dow at 8500 TRADER. wrote his first DOW RALLY 2009 IS ENDING thread. So that's 4 months ago, the Dow managed to rally 20% since then and it still stands at over 1000 points above his 8500 entry point.

Anecdotally, the depth of belief in gold’s unlimited upside potential remains strong, as our office is still receiving emails claiming that the U.S. Dollar is on the verge of being “devalued,” thereby resulting in an immediate doubling of gold’s price to $2000. The U.S. dollar cannot be devalued because it’s not linked, backed or convertible into anything, which would allow it to be devalued.
Such was not the case back in the 1930s, when President Roosevelt devalued the dollar by raising the price of gold from $20.67 to $35.00. But back in 1934, one could, by law, convert their dollars into a set amount of gold. No such linkage exists today, making devaluation impossible.
One could certainly argue, as the hyper-inflationist’s do, that the Fed and the U.S. government will monetize all debt, which would thereby drive down the value of the dollar. But these actions are different and separate from the strict meaning of devaluation.
Moreover, Conquer the Crash carefully explains in detail why this potential is extremely low on the probability scale (I rarely do any type of marketing pitch in these pages, but a new second edition of CTC is hitting booksellers now, if you are interested in reading a great book). These facts do not preclude a further gold rally, but if gold does push higher, it will not be because the U.S. dollar is on the verge of being “devalued.” |

Yet, a USD does have a value and it is based on circulation, acceptance and it's value against other worldwide currencies.

EXplain to me why the Dow and USD both went down in the 70s.
Also explain why the Dow and USD went up together in the late 90s.
So its possible that if the Dow goes down hard the USD could fall along way. If the USD crashes I could see alot of companies close their doors which would make the Market go down.
