The navy doesn't use guns with bayonets.
When I was in the Navy, my CO would have slapped you hat off your head if it had that lame curl in it.
Taxpayer money is spent so these guys can juggle all day.

I for one, thouroughly enjoyed "Drilling with our Pieces". Matter-of-Fact, every man in my company did except "Gomer", who we conveniently sent to "Sick Call" when competing. The Company that performed the best, went to the head of "Mess Line". When Companies marched without their Commanders (2nd half of Boot), they'd do illegal "Drag & Stomp" steps in order to show off. Drilling is an important part of the teamwork, and syncronicity that is taught to young recruits.
To say that this is Gay, is like saying the Navy is Gay.
And I suppose that you think that the drills that NFL Players do during training are Gay also?
And Yes! Triple Threat Companies had bayonnets when I went through Boot . . . Budman To The Rescue . . .

Now. Sub duty was great. We had 2 crews, gold and blue. Boomer, ssbn 658. Fast attacks only had 1 crew. Poor guys. We served 3 months on and 3 months off. When we came off patrol we had 30 days off, no muster. Nothing. Just 30 days off. Twice per year and thats 60 days! This did not include your 30 days leave per year.

THANK YOU, PacNWguy. That was beautiful to watch, and brought back some memories I treasure. I had the pleasure of watching graduation ceremonies at San Diego Naval Base years ago. One of the highlights of my life!
