Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 762134 Netherlands 10/22/2009 06:26 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | More than 10,000 children died from abuse or neglect in the United States from 2001 through 2007, a report released today says. The U.S. death rate is more than double the rate in France, Canada, Japan, Germany, Great Britain and Italy, countries that have less teen pregnancy, violent crime and poverty, according to the report by the Every Child Matters Education Fund, a non-partisan advocacy group. "It's heart-wrenching that each day in America, five children will die from abuse and neglect, but what's worse is that the real number is even larger," as much as 50% higher, says Michael Petit, the fund's president. He says the deaths get too little public attention. [link to www.godlikeproductions.com] |

But to make them even more dubious, they are claiming that America loses one kid out of every 300 people every year (one million per year out of a 300 million total population). I'm sorry but that's just preposterous. And no political organization has the strength and power to conceal such a thing. One million grieving families screaming for the return of their children cannot be silenced. |

IS EACH SCHOOL LOSING ONE KID FOR EVERY TWO CLASSES EVERY YEAR? Well, they are not my figures! The official figure of missing children in the US is more than 2000 per day - that is a child goes missing every 40 seconds - that is 25 children go missing while you are having your cup of morning tea. In India no exact figures are available, however, according to an article in an English daily, the number of just runaways is 10 lakhs per annum, i.e. every 30 seconds a child runs away from home. Are we taking this issue seriously? [link to www.ncmc.org] |
Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 762134 Netherlands 10/22/2009 07:44 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | According the FBI’s National Crime Information Center (NCIC) 85% to 90% of the 876,213 persons reported missing to America’s law enforcement agencies in 2000 were juveniles (persons under 18 years of age). That means that 2,100 times per day parents or primary care givers felt the disappearance was serious enough to call law enforcement. 152,265 of the persons reported missing in 2000 were categorized as either endangered or involuntary. The number of missing persons reported to law enforcement has increased from 154, 341 in 1982 to 876,213 in 2000. That is an increase of 468%.
