I know there have been other black presidents in movies but for some reason I thought it was odd that Morgan Freeman played president in this movie.
President begins to create massive caves that can absorb the “Deep Impact” and shelter a million people, 800,000 of which are randomly drawn to live there.
So the President selected 200,000 people to live and the others were picked at random. I think the picked people are the people who get the good vacinations while others get the bad vacinations.
So the the character Freeman played......PRESIDENT BECK!!! For some reason we have Obama vs Beck right now and right now my belief in Obama has gone down. |

You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.
What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

Deep Impact was the best of the doom movies. I like the way they faced death so bravely. A movie with good character. |

Again when I saw the movie Deep Impact when it came out I thought ot myself its strange that they have Morgan playing a black president because I probably would not see a black president in my lifetime so the movie has to be fiction...That is actually what I thought |

Intelligence has nothing to do with those who chose to vote for Obama. I will grant that many poor blacks/whites did, but Obama won with the helpful votes of the whites.
I came "this close" to voting for him myself after listening to one of his speeches. His rhetoric was that moving! It took some doing to shake myself out of the stupor that resulted from the hype that real change for America would be a reality. Whew! That was close.
It was knowledge that saved me, but the others were caught up in the fever of the moment. Don't blame them. They were victims of the one who lied to them.
