I heard the commercial put out by the gov't on radio, too, for the first time this morning. Says we should have 3 days of food and water set back. Hurricane season is about over, so they must be figuring on something else.

Rumsfeld used to tell us to have 3 weeks supplies of essentials set back.

I know, it seems that almost every segment I listen to, I hear one of those messages. It just seems they are increasing.

Was just curious if others have noticed it as well.

I certainly hope you are hearing more ads. I would be upset if you were not. All the prep work, studies, money allocated for everything from local services to federal service, from FEMA to National Guard to the last BIG STUDY about earthquakes..if you are NOT hearing more be prepared then something is wrong.

In other words, there will always be natural disasters and now man made disasters. More population means more potential for stressful situations.

Had on the local news, some lady talking about being prepared about a month ago she was a local fema rep she said have enough supplies, meds, water, food for three months.

Thought, what does she know.

stress causes more thrist have 3 gallon day for each person to be safe .. sponge bath by pouring a little water from a squirt botle water onto a few paper towels to wipe off your body.... it conserves your precious water to the max ..just dampen a paper towel and wipe down as needed .. .. have a month if possible of supplies.. in case of regional emergency ....
