Those who fall for this doom crap and predictions and dates are simply victims of the modern day snake oil salesmen. People such as Icke, Jones et al simply want your MONEY. That's it. Once you accept the possibility of just one consipiracy, it opens the floodgates and you never look at a single incident the same. "IT HAD TO BE PLANNED!" No. No it really didn't. Sometimes things just happen.
I can almost guarantee that in 10 to 20 years, none of the above in the title of this post will have occured, and everyone will still be saying that it's right around the corner. |

Nah, I get it. I used to be a "doomtard" I suppose. But more and more I realize that it's just these snake oil salesmen feeding off people's fears. Yes our gov't is corrupt, yes the banksters are greedy bastards and all that. And this is different from any other time in history how? It's not. It's when you look back and realize all the failed "predictions" that you can really understand that this is all business as usual.

If you listen to the corporate controlled media outlets, cable/sat. T.V. and radio, you would never know that there is anything wrong. A good analogy of this would be the three violin players on the deck of the RMS titanic as it was going down. The fact is, we are in major trouble here in this country. We are losing jobs faster than ever and it is directly related to corporate greed. To give you a good example of the mass exodus of jobs in this country, there was a cable documentary made regarding the rise and fall of the domestic textile industry. As recently as 1965, 95% of all clothing was manufactured here in the U.S. Fast forward to 1996, only 50%. Now it is just 5%. And that is just that industry alone! So what is wrong with that picture? If you say "nothing", then you really need a reality check my friend. Another good example is the city of Detroit, once a top five city in the U.S.. At one time it was the third largest city in our country and was a major hub of industry. Now it is nothing more than a shell of it's formere self. A waste land of destruction and isolation. It is perfectly obvious that our economy is on its death bed as we speak. And with the advent of destructive trade legislation like NAFTA and GATT, as well as the new "cap and trade" bull shit that is being hammered out in congress, our future looks really bad. Free trade is not fair trade and we are losing our shirts (literally and figuratively) because of it. The dollar is tanking. The FDIC is now in the red. Pretty soon, it won't matter if there is a "run" on the banks, if the dollar collapses. What are people going to do? Run to the bank and grab useless currency? But you're right. Nothing is wrong. Go back to sleep. |
