Are any mini flame throwers on the market?
Maybe thats the answer....
A mini flame thrower? Try a can of hair spray (aerosol variety) , spray it out and light with a match or cigarette lighter.
Be careful. Scary as hell!

That would suck having a siren go off every time I pull the trigger. Poor people do poor people things, and rich people do rich people things.

I dont think the siren is an actual part of the weapon. Good thing about metal storm is its electronicaly fired so you can hook it up to your pc and have one at every entrance to your house.

Re: Maybe the Ole Shotgun Isn't Enough for Home Defense
Shit! I'd have to empty the clip in my 9mm and pull the .38 from my pocket to clean up. Or maybe fire the 5 rounds from the 12ga and finish with the 9, well I do keep two 30 round clips ready for the AR-15, I could use...
I usually keep my AK with a few loaded mags stuffed in a bag that I can grab if I have to leave on a moment's notice. The only guns I normally have handy for immediate use are a single stack .45, a 5 shot 38 snubby, pump shotgun with 6 rounds in it, and my .22 rifle.
I might have to rethink that strategy!
just grin and pull on your gas mask, pop a cs grenade, they are very available, and relatively cheap
walk out the back door, grab the AK and a beer, and wait for the fun to start

I would be willing to bet that not all 16 would make it in the door after you dropped the first couple with some OO Buck. My guess it that they would turn tail and run like the chicken shits they are.

vibration sensors alarms sound off before the door comes open. .. door getting rammed.. shoot to kill if door wood starts creaking and breaking and begining to splinter .... it wont get any better by waiting. serious reinforced doors and serious slide bolts on reinforeced frames and door facings plus reinforced door and hindges.. the longer it take to breakin, the longer you have to mobilize a deadly defense againt this pond scum ., . silent alarm on safes .to a hiden cell phone, silent alarm switches at various places for any family member to activate . by headboards in bathrooms be creative .

i am seriously thinking about getting one of these, to play around with one, and see what kind of modifications would be needed to mount a .22 cal rifle with 100 round drum. they are sold on ebay

Funny you mention that... One of my old neighbors from back in junior high...several, several years ago...built one with the help of his uncle who used one in the vietnam war... This thing was bad ass and could shoot a flame out approx. 20ft and more...
I'm not suggesting you mess with something so dangerous unless you're pretty competent...especially mechanically.
For real, think of how horrible it would be if you accidentally fried a friend, neighbor, family member...or god forbid...EVEN YOUR DOG!?!? I personally could never live with myself after that...
