27 October 2009
TEHRAN - The Iranian Oil Bourse was inaugurated on Monday in the Persian Gulf island of Kish as a venue to export oil and petrochemical products.

Great Find O/P

I wonder if it will be cyber attacked & robbed or just bombed into oblivion.

I guess both may be the strategy, bombs to cover up the crime.

That Bourse was inaugurated a couple years ago already. Maybe finally just being admitted too, and a major reason for our activities against Iran. Russia has one too.

No we didn't.
Kuwait was slant drilling for oil under the border into Iraqi territory ( using American equipment ) and Saddam retaliated.

we gave Saddam the green light saying we would not oppose the re-aquisition of the tiny kingdom and used back door channels. Kuwait may have been slant drilling, but that is nothing to invade over and has plausible deniability all over it...who really knows...

I remember and perhaps you can help, that through our embassy or ambassador to Iraq we hinted that taking Kuwait over would not be objected too as it was simply redrawing the lines prior to WWII. The UN and the British redrew the boundries knowing that the region was oil rich.

Anyway, my point being is that Saddam (a US puppet) became unmanageable and we eventually had to take him down and we did just that. He was going to stop using US dollars for the oil trade and start trading in other currencies...well not long after, the invasion of Kuwait happens and well the rest is history

Thats how I remember it

No, I don't know the answer to your question. That aside most people do agree the West took down Saddam because he dumped petro dollars.

I should note the tidbit about slant drilling was told to be by a peace activist in the early 1990's before the net was developed, that's how I pulled it up so quickly. I'm very sure its true. I'm only stating that because we all know there's lots of disinfo and spin on the net. ( including on certain other pinned threads here today. Grrrr )

it like today countries can all gang up and ditch the dollar whereas yesterday it started conflicts

today you can talk about 911 truth somewhat whereas yesterday you would be swooped up like a G20 kid wearing a backpack by 2 guys in fatigues if you mention "inside job" in the same sentence.

Re: IRAN - Oil Bourse Inaugerated
For those who might like to read up on this, there's a lot of history to it.

Iranian Oil Bourse finally opened in the early hours of October 26th, 2009. The last time it was in the news (initial inaguration in 2008), we had Iranian speed boats threatening our battleships. That and deep sea cable cuts [link to pkpolitics.com]

More background from a 2006 article on Global Research site:
[link to www.globalresearch.ca]

"Petrodollar Warfare: Dollars, Euros and the Upcoming Iranian Oil Bourse" by William Clark

and lastly and exerpt, "The Iranian government has finally developed the ultimate “nuclear” weapon that can swiftly destroy the financial system underpinning the American Empire. That weapon is the Iranian Oil Bourse slated to open in March 2006."

This is good information to keep in mind. The slant-drilling story is true, I remember seeing this at the time and hearing that the US implied that they would not interfere if Saddam engaged Kuwait. If you recall at the time, folks were pretty concerned that this would escalate massively in a very short time, so we were glued to the news.....As things progress in the days to come, remember that the Iranian Oil Bourse opened on Monday, October 26, 2009.....also see how often this is mentioned in the MSM, because I don't think it will be, though I'm sure "the Iran problem" will be front and centre for the next little while....just sayin'
