Late stages of cancer and the Vet said she has a week or more to live. Any miracle medicine to control it before I lose my beautiful cat.
Liver and spreading elsewhere.
I've been advised to bring her back and be put to sleep in next few days after saying goodbyes. |

The walk all us animals will take at some point.
Crushing loss and I am sorry for this pain you must now endure.
(Get back up on that horse that just threw you and seek another kitten. Amazing how much this helps cure you.) |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 781169 10/27/2009 2:51 PM | | Re: Just been told cat has tumors | Quote | I am so sorry for you and for Bubbles. I do not know of any miracle drug, but have been able to give some comfort with basic homeopathic remedies.
If you could give a few more symptoms, I would be happy to suggest a remedy or two...
Is Bubbles yellow, whites of eyes, gums, inside of ears?
How long has she had a decreased appetite?
Has she lost weight? a lot of weight?
Is she dehydrated?
What has her water intake been like?
Activity level?
vomiting or not?
Does she seek out hot or cold places?
Does her body feel hot or cold compared to usual?
Has her behavior toward you changed.. more friendly, less friendly?
This is not a perfect set of questions, but may be able to help choose a few remedies that would be most likely to help if you are interested. Most health food stores in the US carry a selection of remedies.
So sorry for your struggles. |

Based on this, I would try a low potency, either a 12c or a 30c of phosphorous, given once and then observe. If you see improvement, just wait and watch. If you do not, try redosing one time 12 to 24 hours later. If it works well for a few days, to a few weeks, just wait.. and at the first sign of returning symptoms, redose one time.
You may also want to try a remedy called Lycopodium, similar dosage if you do not feel the phosphorous is doing anything.
I haven't been in the UK for a few years, but there used to be remedies in a lot of chemists.
I hope this helps, OP. It is so hard to say goodbye to our loved ones. |

My old dog Trixie ( about 85 ) showed a growth on her left hind leg, that looked exactly like the ones discovered on Penny.
I used two capsules of Flax Seed Oil ( obtained at Walmart; $8+ for 150 ) on different days and the quater sized lump was reduced to the size of a DIME ! That was over 1 1/2 years ago, and she is doing FINE ! Repeat same every few weeks. WE are healthy and happy in our old age !
Use the same treatment for Dr. diagnosed cancer of my left lung OVER 15 YEARS ago, and I am still HERE at 81 to prove it WORKS.
There is a large molecule in the Flax Seed Oil composed of two molecules of sugar, attached to One molecule of Cyanide and one molecule of Benzoaldehyde; the latter two DEADLY to cells. When the large molecule passes by cancer cells, they WANT the two sugar molecules, so they send out an enzyme to break up the molecule for the sugar and get BOTH barrels of DEATH delivered to the CORRECT PLACE !
The molecule is totally safe in the body, as only cancer does this decoupling process of this molecule.
Originally discovered by Dr. Ernst T. Krebs in the late 1950s and OUTLAWED by the FDA and AMA ( NO profit in a CURE!) EVER AFTER he CURED SIX out of SEVEN cancer patients, sent HOME to DIE, by hospitals/doctors.
Almost any country in the world offers this treatment for cancer. NOT THE USA !

Anonymous Coward User ID: 760960 10/27/2009 3:39 PM | | Re: Just been told cat has tumors | Quote | Our cat (actually my son's cat)too has cancer and is likely to die soon. She is 9 years old.
She has been in a bad mood and attacks his dog, a happy, bouncy 2 yr old lab-pit mix. Lucky for her the dog is submissive.
The cat has breast cancer and the tumor is open and oozing.
The vet wants %1500 to do surgery.
NO, I won't give him the money.
He still owes me about $1000 for money I put into his other cats.
He had the opportunity to make a lot of money at his job in the last 20 years, but he chose to work part time, pay check to pay check and always hitting me up for gas money and sometimes food.
He didn't work Mon or today-his choice. He's working on a partition in his room to keep the cat and dog seaparated.
He has no idea of how to set his priorities and will not listen to advice from anyone. Being 50 years old you'd think he would have learned by now.
Being so angry with him does not help gain sympathy for the cat.
So you can guess I would as soon put this cat down.
I gave him some Beta Glucan which is supposed to digest tumors and dead tissue. I also gave him some Serrapeptase which is an enzyme that digests mucous and dead tissue.
I will tell him about the flax oil. |

Start mixing pure baking soda in her water - about a 1/2 teaspoon per cup of water.
It will make her system alkaline and may kill the tumors. Certainly worth a try and can be used with any other suggestions you get without adverse affects.
I give this to my cat 4 (1/4te) days a week (she is healthy) but you should give it (1/2te)to her everyday. - for a while.
My cat really likes the taste also. |

I wish I had known this before. I have a new kitten (as of two days ago). He is sweet, but not my Miss. Thank you Eagle, as I was told when Miss passed that this was a fairly common occurrence in older cats. I may have need of this info again, although I hope not.

OP, so sorry to hear your sad news. FWIW I went through the same thing recently. I was sad for months afterwards. And lonely. All the silly things cats do. Well one thing that I know is, we as their caregivers have the ability to put them to sleep peacefully when they are ill.
I went into the room with the vet and held my dear cat while they put him to sleep. I felt the life escape his bones in less than a second. He felt no pain. I felt all the pain. I cried & cried.
It is the spirit and personality of your cat that you will never forget. And your pain will heal in time. I will keep you in my prayers. Know that by helping your cat like this, you are lessening any pain that he may have while alive. Starvation is a horrible thing to watch any animal go through.
Be well and know that my angel cat is looking down on you in your time of sorrow.
~peace,

House pets are having numerous reactions to all the corn in the food.
At a point they can be saved by changing the food, to a lamb and rice. |
