I have to give Ron Paul credit, he has certainly played his followers well. The funny thing is most will continue to support him even though they know he is part of the system. People love the system.

I think you're right, unfortunately. I thought he would have been a better choice than Obama or McCain, and still might be, but I am not surprised to find out he's bought and paid for, just like the rest of the politicians. Sad.

Re: Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) Found to Have Received More Funds from Financial Sector than Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA)Quote

Ron Paul doesn't want to take social security or medicare you have paid for, to the contrary, he has once again introduced a bill to FORBID Congress from raiding Social Security and one reason he opposes the health insurance plan is that it will raid from the already bankrupt medicare fund. He is against the SYSTEM and thinks it shouldn't have been implemented but would not take from those who already paid. He'd cut military budgets abroad to pay for it instead while transitioning the kids to something self supporting and self controlled.

I suspect if RP got 'more' $ than Frank (which I'd have to check, since I know he got a lot less than other presidential candidates) it is because he ran for president, but if you look at what he is doing, if the financial sector wants that, they are masochists. The man has an impeccable 20 year record. Try looking at it.

Geithner was actually respectful to him in the last hearing but that is only because he has a bill with 308 cosponsors to audit the fed that makes him unignorable, at them moment.

For someone whose name is georgebushworstprez, you sure seem to focus your energy taking down the Republican that opposed Bush's policies more consistently than any other Republican.

Like when he was opposed to both wars. Funny how the Dems aren't protesting the troop surge now that it is Obama running the war.

If you are looking for hypocracy, there are much better targets in both the Dem and Repub parties.

I think you are angry that there are a few Republicans that have principles and are therefore taking votes away from the Dems. You want the anti-war vote to go exclusively to the Dems so that they can have the perceived political capital to implement their agenda unimpeded.

But that becomes difficult when there are Repubs not only opposed to the war, but also opposed to socialism. Since there are a large number of like-minded voters out there, you can't afford to have them leave the Dems after they came over only for the anti-war vote.

There are good guys but they don't get anywhere. When they do, they get killed, arrested, or humiliated out of office. Check out what James Trafficant was saying when he was in office. What he said ruined his career. But he did the right thing.

Even though I said yes, the way to tell the difference is analyzing what they stand for or say. The first thing that I noticed about Paul was that he supported the gold standard. Anyone even remotely familiar with "gold" knows that they control that too. So why base our money on something manipulated and controlled by them? Ron Paul knows this but since he is part of the system, he never mentions that he supports yet another corrupt money system.

You can't control a resource that nearly every country can mine. Some of my friends go out gold panning on the weekends. It would be pretty tough to control that.

Compare that to counterfeiting of the currency and see which has more control.

Anyway, the reason for the gold standard is to prevent inflating the money supply.

This doesn't surprise me at all...

RP is such a duche!!

Lets see... he:

1. Says he wants to get rid of the Federal Reserve...
(who would print our money? - duh!)

2. Says he would withdraw all troops from Iraq & Afghan immediately...
(So that we can get attacked by Al-Quada AGAIN?? What if they don't use planes next time??)

3. Says we should get rid of the federal tax – and the IRS!...
(who would pay to fix the roads? Or pay for all the gov agencies that efficiently protect us from lead toys and such? – besides, what is 30% of our overall Labor??)

4. Says we should defend the border??? Wuh?
(#1- How would our nation grow without immigrants? #2 – If someone is going to sneak a dirty bomb/nuke in… they probably already have! #3 – Where would democrats get our votes!? #4 – I love tacos!!)

5. Says we should allow states to retain their own sovereignty over their citizens – let states create laws rather than the big Gov…
(DOUBLE – DUH!! – Why do we have a 14th amendment… hello?! If you are going to apply for an SS card… you are then a US citizen… not a national of your state – you will pay taxes! So that those of us on welfare can get by… hello?)

6. He’s really old.
 Quoting: Blue Hat 525020

Hey Look everyone! A real live Zombie!!!

1) US Treasury, not private banks!

2) All based on lies!

3) Fed roads are paid for with an existing gas tax. Other agencies are funded with similar tax structures.

4) How many illegal immigrants have already crossed into the USA in the past 10 years alone. How's that NAFTA thing working out for you?

5) That's pretty much how this country works, yet all individual states agreed to the US Constitution for every citizen of each state within the union. It's called a republic.

6) So is your logic!

Really? You might want to familiarize your=self with the practices of the early goldsmiths. It is more difficult to control the price of physical, but it's done throug dumping large amounts of gold onto the market in the form of either physical gold or paper gold, futures contracts. Also done by huge short positions.

If the gold market was not manipulated your ststement would be true, but since it is corrupt, they can do what ever they want. I would agree it's easier to manipulate fiat currency. Just print more.

You are correct that the standard prevents inflation of the supply, but only in an honest market. There few if any markets that are not manipulated in today's world.

Ron Paul is one of the very few in CONgress that places the Constitution first; placing the Constitution first means placing America first. Those who turn away from the Constitution, ignore it, or attempt to destroy it, are anti-American. It's just that simple.

As for Limbaugh and Coulter? They aren't worthy of much except disdain. They don't put the Constitution first.
