I personally do believe in "spirits", however the means we have at hand to see/detect them is primitive at best.
Think of it this way, 25 years ago we did not know what a Gamma Ray Burst was until we sent up satellites in the 60's.
Now we have mapped the entire sky and know where all of the GRB locations are.
Under the current technology we are about 10-20 years away from detecting spirits.
The shows you talk about - reality TV, that's all, entertainment ! "God sent me to piss the world off"

Larry David wishes he could come up with comedy such as this!
These meshuganeh ghost shows of schleps and schlemiels and schmuck shmendricks make me laugh and laugh harder than Curb Your Enthusiasm! any day of the week except Shabbat.

I think Ghost Hunters is the best one.
It's because they try to debunk hauntings instead of looking for ghost. At least the try to go in with a scepitcal mind about it.

i have a neighbor who is a professional ghosthunter... they are censored... not allowed to broadcast all the facts they find... because we all know what that would cause if the truth came out...

i forget his name off-hand but there's some magician guy on TV
who dedicated an episode to "prove" that being psychic is B.S.
to the unschooled watching they might believe him. to those who know better, he is out doing the work of the dark side.
reality is bigger than the rational brain wants to deal with.
silence the rational part of the mind and everything begins to open and shine.

Re: So many ghost hunting shows and still no hard evidence
The only hard evidence you will ever get in regards to the paranormal is the personal one. For me, it has happened dozens of times and without any witnesses to back it up. So who am I going to tell? Most people would never believe me. So with that, keep an open mind and one day you might just be surprised. I know I was.

ghost hunters has gotten boring with hardcore investigative shows like destination truth, ghost adventures and extreme paranormal, ghosthunters are being outdone by more hardcore investigators. ghosthunters does deserve credit for starting the whole tv reality ghost hunting phenom.

Re: So many ghost hunting shows and still no hard evidence
I've read that ghosts are people that haven't properly "crossed over", I mean why are they bound to certain condemned building's and material possessions, it's as if they cannot leave, you would think after you die you can float anywhere. But ghosts cannot, they seem to be "tied" to a familiar area to them even if uninhabited and broken down and disgusting, places where no one would stay if given a choice. Ghosts seem to be unhappy, miserable, as if they are "stuck" in a shitty realm that is part 3d and part other dim. I would imagine they have not gotten to the proper death/reincarnation realm due to unresolved strong emotional feelings like anger, or ties to someone or something they can't let go.
I used to watch Ghost Hunters but got sick of it, same old thing every week, with the same "did you hear that?", boom, pop, and the "reveal", which they play some distorted EVP, then Jason says "you've been great". Chasing creeks gets old.

Re: So many ghost hunting shows and still no hard evidence
All these things are a load of crap. I don't care if they're looking for Sasquatch, Nessie, UFO's or Ghosts, they NEVER find a damn thing, and always end up repeating some variation of the old line "While we didn't find the xxxxx this time, there always remains the possibility... "
Yeah right, there remains the possibility that the same bunch of idiots will tune in again next week to waste an hour watching some moran dash madly about practically disappearing up his own backside, only to find NOTHING...
Blah!!!!!!!!

Re: So many ghost hunting shows and still no hard evidence
People always ask for proof, what kind of proof are you looking for? A ghost trapped in a bottle?
One of my favorites was an episode where a brick flew at this guy. Ghosts can be quite dangerous if you piss them off. If you really want proof, get off your ass and go to a place famous for it's activity and spend the night. Then come back and tell us how wrong you were.
