The house where I grew up had a ghost. The front door would open, we would hear a squeak in the floor in the middle of the house and then the back door would open.
One night while sitting at the dinner table talking, one by one the kitchen cupboard doors opened and closed.
Once while alone at another house, I was working when suddenly the smell of peppermint filled the room.
Once when I was upset, I felt a very strong presence and then I felt a hand on my shoulder as if to comfort me. I knew it was my mother who had passed on recently.
I have no doubt that spirits exist, and the veil between the worlds is getting thinner. |

There have been a few full body apparitions caught on film, and they have shown them. There is/are realities beyond our five senses, science has proven that over and over. |

I think about this also and wonder how surprised some people will be when science begins to prove what those of the spirit have known intuitively all along.
The difficulty comes in that they are trying to use earthly measures of a quantity which is not of the earth. We don't have the vocabulary yet to describe many spiritual concepts. Sort of gets lost in "translation."
The quantum folks are doing a good job of stirring the pot though. Heh. |

you are noticing something
there are rules on the other side. one of them is you are not allowed to reveal yourself in any way even small without explicit permission. You are punished vigorously if you break this rule, and there is a good reason why.

Daughter traveled with the band Phish for a couple of years then came home to roost for a while. After she left there was a new energy in the house.
My husband and mother, who are "show me or it doesn't exist" sorts had quite an interesting afternoon on day when we were all at the dinner table and a closed cupboard opened and two candles shot out of there, through the kitchen door and landed on the dining room floor.
I smiled at daughter. The other two were all, "WHAT was that?!!!"
Ten years ago. Now my husband says it never happened. And my mother would never again talk about it.

If your looking for hard evidence in the form of physical, you will not find it. The After isn't a part of this world.
Funny how people won't believe in UFO's or Ghost but later on Sunday go to church and convince themselves of an afterlife and God they can't prove just as well.

I've had a near death experience. God is real.
I've seen a massive black triangle ufo from like 400 feet away from it. It was not from terrestrial technology at all. It was seen by many people at the same time.

When you experience it yourself you know it is real. That there is something/things out there. I know I have seen the effects they do, have felt them touch me, have seen them. All I can say is if you don't beleive you won't till you see it, experience it yourself. |

Including "scary" ghosts with sound effects and crap. I believe in spirits and in ghosts, but i DONT BELIEVE THAT THEY WILL COME OUT TO PLAY ON NATIONAL TV! and again.....NO EVIDENCE |

You'd think people would stop watching them, but they keep adding more.
Latest one is 'extreme paranormal' where they do 'rituals' to make contact.
The only contact ever made is 'something touched me' or 'did you see that' maybe some digital noise.
How many more shows do we need until ghosts are completely debunked?

Umm, I find this comment interesting... Anyone who has looked at the bible knows that we are not allowed to communicate as well.. There is a very specific passage that speaks of this if I remember correctly. |

That's if you buy into the fairy tale that the whole infinitely complex universe is all simplified into "God vs the devil" to scare, control, and divide the sheep. It is hogwash, "satan" is not real. Negative forces exist however. All that Satan garbage was made up by humans trying to scare, deceive, and fear monger. The easter bunny is more believable. I used to believe all that crap too until I woke up and realized all this devil and hell stuff is clearly ridiculous, mystical garbage. I can no longer buy it, my gut's telling me it's bullshit. How can you believe that a loving God would scare children with Hell fire in "his book", which is all about forgiveness? It is full of hippocracy and contradiction.
Ghosts are just a part of nature, the 22gram "essence" of what each human being really is, that haven't accepted their death, usually out of shock, anger, or fear. |

The only hard evidence you will ever get in regards to the paranormal is the personal one. For me, it has happened dozens of times and without any witnesses to back it up. So who am I going to tell? Most people would never believe me. So with that, keep an open mind and one day you might just be surprised. I know I was.
I think ghosts don't like me. For some reason I have had
numerous oportunities to experience them but haven't. I've
even stayed at a friend's house who claimed it was haunted
and didn't have anything happen. Rather disappointing, actually.
I may be crazy for this but I WANT to have an experience. I
do happen to believe our spirits carry on, and that some
get trapped here, or at least leave behind a strong form
of their essence.
Well all I can say is give it time. If you really want to get into the heart of the matter, I would recommend a good local paranormal group in your area. I am sure that you have loads of places that you and your entourage of investigators could go. If you ever get to the pacific northwest, Portland has it's sub-terranian city that is reportedly quite active. From what I here, it is probably as haunted a New Orleans which is probably the most active (spiritually speaking) than any other place on the continent. Or, just go down to New Orleans! So, if I were you, consider a good research group in your area. Focus on ones that have a good skeptical and analytical philosophy. The more skeptical and scrutinizing the group, IMHO, the more accurate the research. You don't want to shack up with a bunch of paranoid wackjobs (like myself- ha ha ha), where every friggin displacement or sound is consider "evidence". Oh, and if you have the dough, a good night vision rig and thermal imaging system (roughly 7-10 grand a piece) would really make you the "go to" guy! Happy Haunting Postman! |

I watch Ghost Hunters because Kris Williams has got to be one of the hottest chicks on TV. I couldn't care less whether they find a ghost or not. I'm just waiting for the IR cameras they use...to give us a nice see-thru shot of her.
