It's when they couldn't make a calendar work without an extra day. So before they invented leap year, they had "All Saints' Day" (a cover for pagan Samhain). Since the day didn't have a name, all the dead roamed free and could capture you, so you dressed up to evade peevish bad spirits.
Knocking on wood, a pinch of salt over the left shoulder (where demons hung around, lol...), all to scare off bad spirits. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 769657
I remember sister Fidelma telling us something like that in second grade. So did the first early american settlers trick-or-treat with the kids? What year did it come out in america?
They don't trick or treat in other countries.

I was just curious about trick or treaters. Whats intersting is theres all these facts about religious over tones and different countries celebrating all saints day and Halloween but the U.S. is the only country that goes trick-or-treating.
I just thought it would be a good trivia question to ask to when did americans decide to do this and when was the first year trick-or-treating was established in the U.S.
Good question?

Thats my trick question Winning. That answer isnt on the History channel nor the internet so far. The first year Trick-or-treating was established is this unknown blank answer even on the internet. They boast and go on about different religious over tones but trick-or-treating was established in America. I was curious to what year but the answer hasn't been marked yet. wonder what genious can tell me when and what year in the U.S. Question authority every time. Ask them how that makes them feel. Once a year I get into researching the gouls, ghosts, witches, vampires, and goblings in the month of October. Today on the History channel, Cities of the underworld starring Don Wildman was on. The trivia question was,
Was there a real female vampire?
I have the answer. Does anyone else know?
I also have some interesting theories on what vampires truly are. Real vampires aren't and weren't ever human. They were an ET race.
Let's hear who you think this female vampire was.
She lived in a 17th century romania castle. She was prosicuted for witchery, and imprisoned.
Who was she? Quoting: Eve_4000Bc

I don't think they did that. Lots of the traditions we have now (like how Christmas is) was given new life in the Victorian era.

They say religious tones to both Christmas and Halloween but I defineatly always seperated them the day my mom came in my bedroom when I was in third grade and tried to tell me the truth about santa claus and the easter bunny, tooth fairy, and ghosts and ghouls. I sorta already knew there wasnt any of those but I did like the presents. I did weep when she told me but I was torn. In a way I sorta knew I was going to get less stuff now that I knew the truth. The other fact I wept that night was because I wanted to believe they existed so badly.
Now here comes Religion as at least as religious as I'll ever be cause I don't attend nor belong to any practice nor believe in it.
As sweet as my mother was that night she broke it to me gently and the concern on her face when I cried broke her heart too. She hugged me and didnt want me to feel so much torment about it.
I relate that to God. I relate her hugging me and her consoling me and her anguish I felt so bothered by the truth to how God is.
But I must admit! I kinda knew since the first grade Santa and the Easter bunny has nothing to do with the bible nor the people we should be celebrating.
I look at jesus like a hero. He isnt a lord or a God but he is just a hero. I look at mary not like a saint but just a solid mother like my mother. She is pure and tender and loving. The only man my mom ever has been with is my biological father.
I never related my greed for presents in third grade for Jesus/jehovahs birthday. I don't know! How can I explain this? Such a long time has past...
Trick-or-treating and santa claus and the Easter bunny isn't a religious memory in my mind when i look back at growing up. I could of sat there as a third grader and unwraped presents with a muslim and wouldnt of cared. I could of ate a fine turkey dinner on Easter and sat next to my jewish friend.
The point I'm trying to make and finally get as an adult is. It doesnt make what religion you are so important when you come together as a family and do those things. For one special day you and the family just bond and come together. In that aspect the holidays are good.

Actually, to take responsibility and admit where I went wrong in other lives I must admit the bible lied and I havent yet discussed my bad I did as EVE...
In another life there was a draconian ancient. He was better known as Dan to me but he was an ancient vampire.
Eve had a "serpent" friend
the serpent was a vampire. He was from the Draconi race.
dracool/draconian
viper
the serpent wasnt annunaki
they mix Lucifer up in the bible
lucifer had wings like all annunaki do
BUT the serpent was a viper
viper meaning he bites and eats little things for blood
I do know that! Lilith never had a vampire friend. She wasnt anyone other then a girl who who fucked her brother slash father and created retards and every baby born disease we know of to man kind. She is a seducer and Lilith would be lying if she said she isnt. She would sell out her own sister to fuck her sisters husband before shed tell the truth but the truth is even john travolta suffers now cause Lilith birthed the first baby that had autism to the world.
But Eve? Eve had a vampire friend, He was known as the serpent in the bible. his true name is Dan if you'd like to personalize him but that is the truth. Dan the serpent was a draconian and that means he was an ancient vampire. Question authority every time. Ask them how that makes them feel. Ask them why? There was never a crib death nor autism until Lily birthed it and it was introduced into our human genes. Inbreds

It was never Lilith who came out at night. Eve loved to come out at night and she was named Eve verses Titi because Eve fit her better. She was bad though! Eve had a vampire friend named Dan. even though they loved each other as friends they were just draconian and annunaki hangin!
Lilith was just a bitch. Oh! But in a passive I wont passively agressively fuck you over and manipulate you kinda way. She sounds nice but does evil things behind peoples backs. I think questions reg. Eve is an important one,
but whereas there is a slight evidence in archaeological records of the name
of Adam, there is little evidence of the name of Eve
but the biblical reference to Adam has to interfere there must have been
someone female to Adam, Eve.
Now there can rank millions of myths about this tragic fact
without evidence they are rather dreamlike lacking reality, like Lilith, Lalitha, Lolita,…. |

There's myths, and then there is people who actually lived that life, died, came back and remember what happened. I'm telling you people the truth. I could tell you anything about Genesis and it would be more honest than the bible.

Lilith never had a serpent friend. eve was friends with that ancient vampire. "The serpent" was an ancient vampire. He wasnt even Annunaki. People even confuse "the serpent" with Enlil who was later known as Lucifer. Enlil did his deeds and was later known as Lucifer because he was an annunaki.
But the serpent? The serpent was a totally different ET race. He was an ancient vampire and he was no where near the garden that day Adam tempted Eve with the fruit.
Lily isnt mentioned because they don't want to mention she was Eve little sister. I'm starting to suspect Eve might have even birthed Lilith. Lilith looked like a mini Eve.
Eve ,but smaller and instead of being full of gusto she was passive and servile. She birthed the 30 unknown babies by adam that are un named in the bible. Why they were not named in the bible is because She seduced Adam while he was married to Eve. And not being able to see her own sister screwing her husband Eve leaped off of a cliff.
Then Liliths next mission was to birth the plaugues to humans to every baby she birthed. Autism, down syndrum, spinal defetah, lung diseases, weak immune diseases. You name it! Lilith started all of that by producing babies with Adam. It's called inbreds. The reason why Eve was able to birth healthy babies was because she was Annunaki and had the perfect DNA
They don't even mention Liliths sacrilege in the bible but they mention 30 unknown babies and none of them were named.
Why? They did nothing but bring other humans plaugues.
