Those are contrails. The pendules are a dead give away. Also, they are not spreading. This means no wind shear. Then again, contrails will spread out when there is wind shear.

What was weird is that it left a trail which you could see against the clouds and remained for a few minutes, but as soon as the plane could be seen against a clear sky there was no trail?
