This question regarding pornography websites is basically a no brainer, but is my participation in a web forum like GLP something that I would want an employer or co-worker to know about me? Quoting: brux 803691I usually stick to forum's about the economic meltdown and foreign affairs, so it would seem that this type of activity would be considered a positive personal attribute or interest; considering my work is somewhat related. But with all the sexually provacative, homosexual bashing, hate threads and general silliness, would I be putting myself in an awkward position by revealing my presense here or letting my boss know that I visit the site using the company computers? Do most people who come here keep it a secret from family and friends? Never admit to using company resources for personal use. Why give the man leverage to terminate your employment. I've heard too many stories online where company policies are arbitrarily and inconsistently enforced, leading to good people losing their jobs. Also, be nice to the folks in your IS/IT department! |

Your boss might have a problem with it, depending on who you work for, unless you're self-employed. Did you read about the Target Stores executive who was fired after he sent one of his colleagues a link to a news article that appeared on the RENSE.com site? True story. Just use good judgememnt; you can't tell everything to everybody. Well, I feel a bit dirty, keeping it a secret and all...but I can't stop coming by at least once a day. Quoting: brux 803691Zip it, jobs are hard to get nowadays. And keep the work time surfing at a low level, be guided by what is "sort of accepted" within your company/department. Zec 12:3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it. Psa 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, [and] all the nations that forget God. Jer 6:2 I have likened the daughter of Zion to a comely and delicate [woman]. STOCK UP NOW. You should have at least 6 months worth of basics for every member of your household. Stay away from crowds when trouble starts, do not forget water storage, tobacco is worth more than gold or silver, and be kind to hungry children. |

Do most people who come here keep it a secret from family and friends? Some do; Some dont. It all depends on the kind of person you are talking about. If you have a friend or family member you feel confident about, well this is your discretion. It is all about knowing disernment. |
