You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.
What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

I was watching out the window and a lightning hit on the road 50 metres away and made the biggest 'crack' I have ever heard, just loved it.. |

since childhood
as soon as I felt the thunder
by time I could hear it I was out and gone
Mother used to come drag me in the house
when I was older I went to the mountain top
to call to the lightning
it never hit but often very close
so beautiful
it gives me energy
we speak
he advises me
its Uranus in visible garb
to me TOMORROW @ 5 AM
and to all the GREAT SPIRITS who
come visit at this New Year .

I love 'em!
We just had a frog-strangler come through the area last week.
Ground strikes everywhere, cracking, booming, hail and downpour! YEAH!
I went out in my truck to sit and watch but the rain and hail were so loud and the rain so thick I couldn't see the lightning or hear the thunder so I just went back in the house.
*sigh* Very nice indeed.

interesting
Lightning has always made me feel connected
and powerful, when it moves on I am blissed
and at peace, feel as tho no mundane activity
has any REAL effect on me, just act with logic
and keep walking Spiritually to where from the
Lightning came because I FEEL thats where
a door I cant see is open and waiting.
my sis used to run and hide from storms
she ratted on me when I escaped to go call
to the Lightning and got me punished
but it didnt prevent me from going out
to connect next storm.

They are awesome. except when the sirens go off and after returning from the basement i have a tree dumped on my house. Other than that, they are great. And I agree with the other poster, as long as no one gets hurt. |

I do. But unfortunately, here in the mid-west, it hasn't stopped raining! Virtually the whole month of October has been a washout. It really harkens back to what we experienced during the great flood of 93'.

I love storms. I love to chase them, I love to lie in bed & watch the light dance on the walls.
I don't like it when the dog tries to get on the bed when we have a lightning strike nearby.
