My son walked his cat with a body leash/harness.
First time he took her out she walked like she had been doing it her whole life.
Problem was she really wanted to roam and she learned how to get out of the harness.
I get along OK with cats, but have no real rapport with them.
They are not readable like dogs are. |

I rescued a cat (Russian Blue) whose previous owner declawed her front paws. Furthermore, she was locked up in a laundry room for most of her days and never got to see/smell/hear outside of those walls. =(
I worry that if I let her out she will not be able to protect herself from other animals or climb trees to safety. She had never ever even seen outside before, and she's 3. I have another cat that goes in and out as he pleases (his name is Hops), and Juniper (the R. Blue cat) watches him. She's gotten to where she LOVES just sitting on the porch. One day she even ran out to the sidewalk of our yard.
I am seriously thinking about teaching her to walk on a leash, so that she can be outside and enjoy it, but still be safe from predators. I hate when pet owners declaw their cats. It's inhumane. I also think it is a crime to keep a cat indoors all of the time, and especially locked up so they never even get to see outside.
That cat in the video was so within his rights to do what he did!!! lol Serves the guy right. Who takes a cat outside where he/she in an unfamiliar area with unfamiliar people handling him/her, who is on a leash, and scared out of its mind - and expects to walk away unharmed? Anyone who knows anything about cats knows that this is just inherent to kitty cat behavior. Sorry to say that the people in the video were out of touch and shouldn't have been handling a cat. Period. Seriously?!?! Even my 7-year-old knows better!
What's great is that they got it on video. I wonder if they show it at their training sessions for new employees??? |

Poor Poor cat. Those fools have no idea about the nature of cats and why they are differnet to dogs. The only cat which you would ever consider keeping on a leash is in fact a cheetah, because they are genetically half dog half cat, and were one of the first domesticated animals by ancient civilizations. |

Im not a cat lover at all. To be honnest i hate the things mostly. I like big cats, just hate pet cats.
Cat owners are inconsiderate cunts, they just let the cat out and think out of sight out of mind.
Cats shit/piss and wreck the gardens of neighbours, and the owners dont give a fuck, and when you make note of it they think you are weird because you dont like cats.
You cant keep fish in a pond properly, you cant keep an aviary, and you certainly cant let lizards, snakes, and parrots in the yard without being very careful.

That is not completely true, i have a black main coon cat who weighs 20 lbs and that cat is made for a leash. My seven year old daughter walks her on regular basis around the culd-e-sac. However she is larger than my neighbors dog and main coons are known to be leash friendly. Those small cats, yeah, forget the leash! |

For some weird reason I kept getting visions of our heads of state holding voters' leashes while watching this.
Never leash a cat or rope a wild hog.
Ignore the warnings at your own peril, because they are almost impossible to get away from once they've gone "berserker" on you.
