I was being sarcastic. CIT bankrupcy is far from certain. That's why I raised the BS flag.

Probably an attempt to push the total collapse into Q1. Holidays will be over, stores will likely go out of business anyway after that last big push, and then they can let the derivatives collapse start to occur. It's not a matter of if, but when and how.

I was also wondering if the system maintenance that took place last weekend is having this impact on these large company failures. Just what was all the financial systems computer maintenance about. This was no routine system maintenance, Ive been IT for 28 years, banking being a major part of it and the only time this type of massive system maintenance happened it was for a global cause.

I'm seeing dots, Ukraine and the swine flu shutdown, the large companies failing, the system maintenance that no one talks about, China and the presidential orders signed per Sorcha Falls, Iran Oil Bourse and then comes Venzesula(sp). Me thinks these events all have some common bond and we are just being taken as fools to keep our interest off of the major event.

People need to pull all information together and see if this puzzle just doesn't come into focus.

I do believe that the computer maintenance last weekend has a major role, especially since it was left out of the news.

I believe there is no corporate entity relationship between the two. The do share a common reality though; insolvency.

People always confuse CIT and Citi. It's actually quite common.

Why should it surprise anyone that Citi, GMC, AIG, etc. will be back to the trough for more bailout $. The hedgefunds are now going to be protected by Gietner and the Federal Reserve/Treasury.

And let's not forget that the FDIC is bankrupt and the US is not telling us about the 3 to 4 bank failures a day.
