Don't know your opinion, but I'm 45, I was around when they still played tunes on AM radio. Most of the 60's stuff totally rocked, I remember the 70's stuff, it was more mellow but still OK. The 80's was the most wonderful time for music I can recall, all the different sounds and innovation, it was HEAVEN being able to just randomly skim the radio dial and always get something worth hearing.
Then the 90's hit. The GD Nirvana wanna-be grunge bomb.
There hasn't been music since that barren parched Gods forsaken epoch of musical desolation that amounted to crap.
It was SO BAD, that I had to switch to frakkin' COUNTRY for almost 10 years. And THAT my friends is desperation!
Oh sure there were a few songs here and there, but nothing like the 80s. It was like the whole thing just shrivelled up and DIED or something...
These days there's a few more out there that are good, but still they all sound like that brain dead loser Curt Kobain and hid down-beat funeral music. I guess he really DID think life sucked as bad as his tunes made it seem considering how he chose to check out.
Things are a little better like I said, but it's such a shame.
And we ain't even going to TALK about this RAP bullcrap.
Shoot 'em all is all I can say.

it's true! I often find myself listening more to the classical station then I do to Octane... so many of the songs just lack emotion.. they're just .. noise... and this is coming from a person who loves noise.. but noise has to have emotion.. feeling. |

I'm not defending this band, since I agree that the music is garbage in this case, but you must see the hypocrisy in the way it was ok to rebel and listen to your music when you were young, which was loud to old people then, but then turn around and take the place of the old people and repeat the cycle of hating on the current generation. |

imo the drums are compressed a bit, there's some noise, kind of muddy background. poor track separation and not great mixing/mastering(if any).
think this song could be better if played a bit faster and live. |
