LOL... pixels.

Don't we live in a time where we can get crystal clear images of far away galaxies? Where the government can count the lice on your head with a spy satellite? Yet, we get pixels.

Why yes. Galaxies which are a hundred thousand light years across. Rather than, oh, one metre.

Where the government can count the lice on your head with a spy satellite?

No. No, they can't.

I just want a high resolution image of the landing sites. With our technology we could count the footsteps in the moon dust.

Aside from that, there is a major difference between our technology today, the the technology of the 60's. I don't doubt the moon landing since I've never seen any ACTUAL proof of a fraud.

their recent mission to find water by crashing a multimillion dollar rocket thingy into the moon was actually orchestrated to plat a replica flag and equipment.

I believe in the etch-a-sketch theory. The LCRSS probe shook the moon and all the landers, flags, and other evidence sank into the dust!

But those galaxies are light years away versus weeks or months away by conventional means - something about one meter across that is billions of miles closer should, yes, be able to be near crystal in clarity).

And... Yes. Yes they can.

A galaxy at the edge of the observable Universe, 13 billion lightyears away, which is 100,000 lightyears across, has a distance-to-size ratio of 130,000.

A footprint on the Moon, one third of a metre long, which is 50km away from the LRO probel, has a distance-to-size ratio of 150,000.

So it's slightly harder to see footprints on the Moon from LRO, than it is to see galaxies at the edge of the Universe from Earth.

Now consider that LRO has a fairly modest 195mm telescope, while observations of distant galaxies are made with telescopes with primary mirrors measured in metres, and you'll see why your argument is silly.

And no, no they can't.

That is the stupidest picture I have ever seen. Probably taken with a 35mm and a scope here on earth.
