One of those most ironic things about Christianity is that the concept of Hell and Heaven. To them, this is the ONLY choice after one dies BUT it never thoroughly describes in details what are those two places made of. Sheesh, if you tell me I am going to heaven then please at least tell me in details about the place I am going to. It's just like saying: "oh, beyond that mountain is paradise" but never describe in details what are there in paradise.

Great thread HardTruth!! On the issue that only mankind have souls, I was told by a "Catholic" friend of mine, that they are taught differently. The Catholics are taught that animals also have souls. There's no doubt in my mind, ALL living things have "souls" including animals and the very planet we live on. Here's my personal "observation" of animals. I read in one of Rampa's books that it takes the spirit/soul about 3 days to make a complete departure from the physical body. That's why we generally wait at least 3 days to bury our dead! Anyway, one of our buffalo/bison cows lost her calf by some sort of accident. On day 1 she stood over her dead calf and never left. On day 2 she would venture off a short distance but if a scavenger of any kind came near, she would charge at them and chase them away. On day 3, 72 hours later, her calf was almost completely devoured. She (the mother) had returned to the herd, knowing her calf's spirit/soul had left the carcass completely. |

It's just like saying: "oh, beyond that mountain is paradise" but never describe in details what are there in paradise.

Actually, both are anything you want them to be. You see, in the Spiritual Realm, you literally create your own reality. "Heaven" and "Hell" actually do exist, IF you beLIEve in them. BUT, what you're NEVER taught, is that there are realms that are ABOVE "heaven" and "hell." Quoting: Anonymous Coward 672251

He did this to save the roman empire alas it didnt work for long...

Great thread HardTruth!! On the issue that only mankind have souls, I was told by a "Catholic" friend of mine, that they are taught differently. The Catholics are taught that animals also have souls. There's no doubt in my mind, ALL living things have "souls" including animals and the very planet we live on. Here's my personal "observation" of animals. I read in one of Rampa's books that it takes the spirit/soul about 3 days to make a complete departure from the physical body. That's why we generally wait at least 3 days to bury our dead! Anyway, one of our buffalo/bison cows lost her calf by some sort of accident. On day 1 she stood over her dead calf and never left. On day 2 she would venture off a short distance but if a scavenger of any kind came near, she would charge at them and chase them away. On day 3, 72 hours later, her calf was almost completely devoured. She (the mother) had returned to the herd, knowing her calf's spirit/soul had left the carcass completely.
Now this is something that caught Christians flat-footed and force them to think out-of-the-book. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 795140
