Here in Surrey we get a lot of Poles Czechs Romanians Latvians Slavs etc - working as builders, au pairs, in hotels etc - get no problems from them at all!
That's because you're not being squeezed out of the employment market or the social housing queue by them.
You need to think about how they would feel if 5 million working class Brits suddenly arrived in Warsaw taking all the jobs and housing.

Well, I was born in England, my father is Scottish, mum is English. But, I recently had my family tree done by a relative and found out my family on both sides are Irish. So, at some point in time, my family were imigrants too.
