Dog Saves Infant Child
A dog sheltered a newborn abandoned by its 14-year-old mother until the child was rescued in Argentina. The dog treated the child like it was one of its newborn puppies.
PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. -- The wandering 65-pound Pit Bull mix might have seemed menacing to some passerby, but one woman will always remember him as her "guardian angel."
The dog, which authorities think is lost and not a stray, successfully thwarted a robbery attack on a mother and her 2-year-old son, who were held at knifepoint Monday afternoon.
Babysitter: Parrot Saved Girl's Life With Warning
A babysitter's parrot is being credited with helping save the life of a 2-year-old girl who was choking Friday at a Denver area home while the sitter was in the bathroom.
"While I was in the bathroom, Willie (the parrot) started screaming like I'd never heard him scream before and he started flapping his wings," said Meagan, the babysitter. "Then he started saying 'mama baby' over and over and over again until I came out and looked at Hannah and Hannah's face was turning blue because she was choking on her pop tart."

If you consider....a dog crapping on the lawn and then just leaving it there for me to pick up....as defending the planet, then my dog is a TRUE defender of earth!

The shampoo was sunsilk and the container is two tone blue, the color of the sky and the colour of the sea.

The elephants started trumpeting - in a way Dang, 36, and his wife Kuluda, 24, said could only be described as crying, at first light, about the time an earthquake measured at a magnitude of 9.0 cracked open the sea bed off Indonesia's Sumatra island.
The elephants soon calmed down. But they started wailing again about an hour later and this time they could not be comforted, despite their mahouts' attempts at reassurance.
"'The elephants didn't believe the mahouts. They just kept running for the hill,' said Wit Aniwat, 24, who takes the money from tourists and helps them on to the back of elephants from a sturdy wooden platform.
Those elephants with tourists aboard headed for the jungle-clad hill behind the resort beach where at least 3,800 people, more than half of them foreigners, would soon be killed. The elephants that were not working broke their hefty chains.
'Then we saw the big wave coming and we started running,' Wit said.

just last week here, 2 coyotes killed this hiker...
and for me, a guy who goes deep in the woods, in moose and bear territory, this is unbelievable.
coyotes NEVER attack humans....its so weird...
