RFID, a good idea?
Quote

So, you all think RFID is a good idea? Companies are now using RFID for a number of things. Tracking goods and property seems reasonable, but what you are about to read should dispell this lie immediately. RFID in goods requires fewer employees! As a result the number of unemployed will continue to rise. RFID systems have been introduced, and are being introduced, to track the amount of time people actually work and then pay them fewer labor hours. Company vehicles equiped with RFID are tracked everywhere, and if an employee doesn't have the authorized badge containing an RFID they won't start in some instances. If the vehicle idles for too long it automatically shuts off. The digital log of the movements of a vehicle can be compared to the operator's log, and then adjusted to pay the operator less time. Employers, by tracking how quickly their employees work using RFID, are maing them compete with each other in order to make them work faster, a concept known as 'making more with less'. Those unable to compete then become expendable, adding more to the ranks of the unemployed! Companies who've adopted RFID technologies have cut their work forces by as much as 50% in some cases! And you people wonder why the unemployment rate keeps going up! RFID technologies will enable the most tyrannical form of government and control the world has ever seen, and you've not seen anything yet, but you will, especially when the healthcare legislation is finally passed!

I am a trucker and do not have a chip but the truck does and you are right.

Soon we will move to paperless logs(good for the Earth) bad for the driver.

My company knows where my truck is with in 50 feet, when it starts up, when it shuts off.

I am under there thumb at all times that I am at work.

They just cut my pay by .01 to .03 cents per mile.

And calling it "fare pay" due to analizing what drivers actualy do.
