Do not buy 'I want' items .. buy only the necessities, like food.
take the majority of your cash out of the banks.
Congress thinks it controls Americans.
But the truth is Americans..through their pockets..control big business AND Congress!
What you buy and how often produces their profits.
Cut back on spending..see what happens. |

Americans..
you DO have a say.
All that's needed is a little solidarity.
China's exports are piled up because most Americans stopped buying from that country.
Banks were nervous when people pulled their cash out of their accounts.
If the government is intent on stealing your money for their advantage..then why allow them to have it? |

Here's the funny part. Well, not so funny, but more on the ignorant lacking common sense side of the issue.
If you can't afford it, they plan to fine you $25,000 and put you in jail from 1-3 years. The thinking must be that if you can't afford the $1900 per person a year, they are going to make you afford $25,000.
Your basic premise of not spending on big corporation goods and services is correct. We the people actually were doing a good job of that. The big banks and some Wall Street firms were crashing at least in part because of it.
So, guess what happened next? The Bailout legislation, making us pay to keep in business the corporations we were trying to put out of business because they were crooked and greedy.

The best part is that those same people APPROVED a 71.2M bond for road repairs. Ironically, thats what the state and municipalities claim the excise tax is for. Not sure if your state has vehicle excise but every single vehicle on the road pays it EVERY year and the first year's tax is based on the STICKER price of the new vehicle you bought. Who in the hell pays sticker price for any vehicle?
So you tell me....do you think much is going to change? |

I don't trust voting outcomes anymore!
Not since Bush told the public
"My brother will take care of Florida for me"
And then came the big switch-a-roo where the news initially reported Florida had voted Democrat.
Then just a half an hour later the Republicans had Florida!
On top of that, a relative of mine who lived in Florida at the time was witness to the fact that people in Florida were being turned away on voting day! They were told (lied to) that it was to be held at another time!
Of course that didn't make the news that night!
I am certainly not doubting you.. but I really have a lot of trouble believing that people voted against your state's referendum which could have saved them money!

Damn good idea, OP. I've been doing this for a couple of years. When I do buy something I go out of my way to make sure it is made in USA. If it's not I don't buy it usually.

I make every single effort to buy American!
It's difficult, since this government has permitted big business to go overseas.
They (corporations overseas) make HUGE PROFITS on selling people stuff made in foreign countries.
You know that because workers in foreign countries get paid a lot less!
AND on top of that.. most corporations do not have to pay taxes owed to the U.S. government.
So let's do the math.
Americans buy cheap, inferior items made in other countries.
Americans are losing their jobs because they buy cheap, inferior items made in other countries.
Big business profits because they don't have to pay a decent wage to foreign workers.
Big business can get out of paying taxes to the U.S.
