I feel wishy washy about the paranormal. I want to believe, but... I've had a few odd experiences in my life, most of which can be written off.

Well there was this one time I was a Paranormal Investigator and I went to this house...I think it was in a road called Beechwood...anyway..I found evidence of mass suicide...made me go crazy...only just made it out of the house alive

I live in an old house, seems to be haunted by benign beings. The scent of flowers out of season, brewing coffee when I'm not using it, a woman in a long floral dress standing in doorways, a man standing in the living, little furry creatures scuttling about. I'm not afraid, they seem curious. Lots more. Years ago I was slapped while in bed. Another time a being sat on the bed, then massaged my legs. Only one incidence, over several months, of a black hooded man standing in the corner of the bedroom, silently leaning towards me, I changed rooms, he never appeared again. Lots of strange happenings dating back to childhood, in another house, which were not so benign. |

i saw a spacecraft up close as well and that was amazing too.
but
the best shows are yet to come..

Okay, I will try to keep this very long story as short as possible. I grew up in a messed-up house full of very bad energy. We were only the second owners, so no history of hauntings. My family and I, as well as countless friends, babysitters and house guests saw everything from a man in a safari outfit to an 8 foot tall beast that threatened one friend's life.
Couple that with many episodes of lost time and false memories, often shared by more than one person.
Examples: I was 10 years old, had a friend stay over one night. In the middle of the night I had a "dream" about a huge blue, electric circle in the middle of our wall. I watched a bolt of electricity strike a lamp and burn a small hole in the curtain behind it. The next morning, my friend says "you'll never guess the weird dream I had". Sure enough, light bulb was blown and there was a small burn hole in the curtain.
When I was 14, I had 7 or 8 friends over for a party one night. We were up on the back hill hanging out when one friend ran off. When we found him about 20 minutes later, he was shivering and scared. After we calmed him down, he claimed a huge beast on the side of the house came out of the shadows and warned him a friend was about to die. That never happened, thankfully, but he was scared shitless anyway.
Oddly enough, that night we all remembered the exact same thing except one of us. Aside from my friend's scare, it was completely uneventful. One friend though, claims to have woken up to find everyone but him holding a seance around a fire pit. He swears to this day he was not dreaming, because he claims he never fell back asleep.
We couldn't keep babysitters, because every time they came over, weird things would happen like our dog suddenly attacking nothing or doors that would slam closed with no one near them.
We moved away when I was 16, and I only went back once. The place was back up for sale, but no one had locked the doors. A few friends and I decided to go in and see what it looked like (and they knew the stories of the place). I went in, and spent the next few minutes in a weird place I have never been, sitting on grass, but surrounded by fire and creatures in the distance I couldn't make out. I could just see movement and a blue electricity all around me. When I came back around, a door was slamming and my friends were looking at me funny. I'd only zoned for about 10 seconds or so right before the door slammed, the rest happened "elsewhere", whatever that means. The weird thing is I know it happened....but I also know it is only a memory, that it didn't really happen. I know that doesn't make sense, but that is how it is. I try not to think about it much :)
I have not been back. I drive by there once in a while, and for the most part it's never occupied. It's been for sale about 10 times in the last 15 years, so I guess I am not alone. So if you are asking if I believe, let me tell you that I had no choice BUT to believe! |

I live in a "haunted" house. Its not scary at all. I am not sure exactly how many ghosts we have but they seem to be friendly and even helpful sometimes. My oldest daughter will not stay here alone and a lot of my children's friends will not stay the night. We have had a professional team to come out and they have gathered a lot of evidence. Some of the things that happen all of the time are the doors that open and close and the footsteps. On occassion we hear a loud crash. My son passed away in our house in 2004 but things were happening here long before. Right after my son died, when I was lying in bed (which was always) the bed would shake gently and sometimes I would feel like someone was sitting at the foot of the bed. I was on medication following my sons death so I do not know if this was real or imagined. What I do know is real are the things that happen here everyday and have been proven and witnessed by other people. All of that being said, I am still skeptical but very open minded. There is SOMETHING happening here and it seems to be inteligent......just what???? |

OK but it's really unbelievable
I had a sister whom dies 10 years before my birth I knew nothing of her
When I was 5 I saw her in out house on the couch crying, the only reason my mom believed me because I saw her clothes and unique shoes she dies in
And after that I found out she died because my father did not take her to the doctors
She showed up until my father admitted to me one day why she died
And once I awoke @ 4am telling my mother a very distant cousin (old lady) had passed away, mom told me "go back to bed she is sleeping and you are wasting my time)
Around 6am my mom was called in and told she passed at 4 am
Yeah weird, crazy, unexplainable, I don't even bother as to why because you go NUTS, no answers

I live in a post war house in London. One night many years ago my husband came home late from work and the door was not latched ... you just DO NOT leave a door open in London
EVER ... anyway he came inside and saw a young girl sitting on the staircase looking thru the banisters at his ex wife in the front room watching tv ... when he stopped at the foot of the staircase the girl ran upstairs. He immediantly went upstairs and checked every room thoroughly..and found nothing. We experience so many things here ... taps turning on by themselves, walking upstairs and on the staircase, dishes rattling in the cupboards, pictures rattling on the walls ... we have two dogs that sit and stare at the staircase for hours at a time. Once we left the house and got home later than we expected so we didnt turn on any lights. If you open the door under our staircase a light automatically comes on. Now theres a sliding lock on that door and neither of us had been under the stairs in a week or more... we came home and that door was wide open and the light was on. We have had people literally FLEE from here after hearing all the noises and experiencing movement of pictures on the wall ... we are used to it and the "ghost" is not malevolent at all, just sort of mischevious. |

Person came up to me out of the blue.
Didn't hear or see them arrive..they just appeared when I looked up.
This 'whatever' (person/thin) disappeared after I finished the conversation.
I simply looked away for a few seconds and 'poof' they were gone.
I drove home that day..shall we say..a little bit perturbed. |

My Mom was a magnet for this kind of thing. When i was a kid, I've seen lights flick on and off at the switch. i've seen things fly off walls and shelves, I've heard things in otherwise empty rooms. I'm pretty sure I saw ghosts or some kind of energy / entity a time or two.
Very creepy.
Oddly, since my Mom died, I've seen or heard NOTHING. That's why I think she was the cause or the FOCUS of it. Things like this followed her all of her life. And it was not just ME that had these experiences around her. pretty much, if you knew my Mom and spent any time with her, you'd experience something in one way or another. |

ive had a lot of experiences. friends consider me lucky.
1. Frequent sleep paralysis from ages 5-18. Even would sit upright in my sleep at slumber parties begging them to not take me. As far as I know this was all mental, and demon related. I would often see a dark figure in the room.
2. Ghost outside my bedroom window around age 12. Appeared as my father smoking a cigarette, checked my dads bedroom he was there, went back to my window ghost was still there, knew I knew it was not my dad, transfigured into a luminescent woman that appeared floating, after this i freaked out and fell asleep with my head in the pillow LOL.
3. Red UFO which went on to split into three off-red orbs and flew off in different directions.
4. A black triangular UFO flying directly over the 101 freeway while waiting in my friends garage around 1AM. It was silent, and huge, I only saw it due to the reflection off its bottom from the freeway lights, it was silent and traveling north bound (it was solid, I would even say it did not "seem" extra-terrestrial).
5. A definite ORB encounter, the ORB was watching a friend and I, it was about 30 feet above us, when I spotted it, it "knew" I saw it, and flew west bound at an INCREDIBLE SPEED. My friend told me on the phone that he was being followed by UFOs before he arrived, I didn't believe him, now I do. The ORB was blue.
6. Ghost ORBS (did not look like the UFO orb - these would look like stars where as the UFO was a definite solid object) above the grave of Colombus in Sevilla, Spain. They were in plain sight above a bustling town square. No one seemed to notice except my wife and I. They are clearly present in the pictures we shot that day.
7. Taking night photos of a full moon, when later developed revealed a glowing light to the left of the moon, a red glowing light to the top of the moon, and from a photo taken a minute later, the lights had re-arranged position. (These were not visible in the viewfinder or the naked eye, only later - I would actually like to post these and get opinions).
8. Reading the Book of Ezekiel from the JPS translation, which has the Hebrew writing next to the English, a definite presence entered the room. It would not let me fall asleep that night because it kept on "yanking me" upward if that makes any sense.
9. Reading the Gospels while praying, the lights in the room started dimming and getting brighter as if a continuous power surge was occurring, I was filled with static electricity (all the hairs on my arm were standing straight up, the air was electric) - while staring at the light I was for a lack of better terms "zapped" - then when I went to wash my face, a glowing light appeared over my face, when I went to look at family pictures in my room, a glowing ball of light would appear over who ever's face I was focused on. |
